Where the hell is Mitty?
I considered getting the GT-R when I wanted to get a daily driver but ended up with a Porsche Turbo Cabriolet as I was longing for a Cab but I really wouldn't mind getting a GT-R as a true daily driver. After owning a Mitsubishi EVO X MR for a year now, I can atest driving a twin clutch car is just as involving as a manual car with a clutch. I can also feel the chassis, the throttle blip, and can now concentrate on what the steering is doing with my hands on the wheel all the time and on the line. Afterall, all F1 cars have paddle shifters. And the power is always there as the car is almost always in the right gear at the meaty part of the torque band. My EVO has about 370 HP and it's already that exciting to drive, I can imagine the GT-R with another 200 HP (modded of course, friends don't let friends drive unmodded) can be absolutely a blast. As to the tranny breaking after many hard launches, if one drives the car like it is meant to be driven - fast and as a road racer and not as a drag racer, the clutch should hold up just fine. And people already are starting to figure out how to put heavier duty clutches in the twin clutch trans.
