Sorry Kevin, no pix of me changing tires. Didn't end up making it out there. Too much work to do and it's a haul getting to GA from Grand Junction. :frown But, the tires are already on the car. Very quick service and no problems. This was my first experience with Tire Rack and I was extremely pleased! :thumbsup

Love My New Bridgestones

Another happy customer with new Bridgestone tires. Was getting nervous with 2004 date code Goodyears and rear tires worn down. New Bridgestones are very queit and feel like you are glued to the road. Local tire shop was able to get tires in one day. The front 265/40-18 Porsche N1 were readily available but rear 345/35-19 Scuderia were not available from Bridgestone and no date for new stock. Local tire shop called his local Bridgestone distributor and he had a couple in stock. All tires have june/september 2013 date codes.

Just looked them up on tire rack and says available. Hope they keep making them. If not we will all have to find other brands that will fit and good tire.

I predict they will continue to be made, but availability may be spotty as the rate of purchase does not justify having a continuous supply in manufacturing.

Also, note the front tires were the Porsche N1 but the tire stock number was 127730 not 124730 as was posted earlier.

All tires have june/september 2013 date codes.

What were the Scuderia date codes? I would be interested to see how frequently Bridgestone does production runs.

Is there an "N1" designation on the sidewall of your front tires? When I ordered the N1s from onlinetires.com the part number was definitely 124730 as it is on my invoice.

Confusing. I asked onlinetires.com about 124730, and this is what they answered:

"I called my Bridgestone representative and I gave them that part number you provided me with and they are telling me nothing is coming up under that item number # 124730.

I ask to see the Bridgestone have tire size build for a Porsche and they suggested this item part # 127730 below: Price for each is $284.77"

The tread matches the Scuderias, they are both RE050A, and the tire is Y rated. Why does the "N1" matter? Could be a typo on your invoice?

When I dealt with Bridgestone factory regarding different answers I had been getting about availability of Scuderia rears, they could not find any record in their retail tire lines. Problem was solved when they looked for OE (Ferrari Enzo) tires. The factory has them listed as Original Equipment tires, not as retail or replcement tires. Then the number popped up. Couldn't find out how often they are manufactured now.

Might be a typo. Who knows. When I bought my tires I was told the N1s were not on the website. The number partssmann posted is on the website. If that is the correct number for the N1s, perhaps they added it to the site.

As for the meaning of "N1", generally it means Porsche approved, specifically on these tires it means the belt construction is different.

Find it on tirerack.com - then take the link to them, and they will find it.

My rear Scuderia tire date codes were 3313 for 33 week year 2013. When my tires came in I saw the stock code was 127730 on the Bridgestone decal for the front tires and thought they got the wrong tires but upon closer inspection computer showed tires were for Porsche and tires had N1 on sidewall.
