Stripless Le Mans Blue 2005 Euro GT VIN #401272 Sold for $117K

I think the Xenon wash system is probably proof enough Rob, looks like a 101. Strange for it to go so cheaply. Edit, actually says it's a 101 on the website "une des 101 fabriqués pour l'Europe "

What is the significance of this number?

It's just pointing out that there is 01 screw missing. In fact, you can see it's missing, it's right there. If you're missing two screws, they put an 02 number on it. Hope this helps. Jus' doin' ma job. Might be Fibonacci.

What is the significance of this number?

N = \sum_{i=0}^{k-1} d(i) F(i+2)\, and d(k)=d(k-1)=1. Hmmm. Could be a derivation of Fibonacci, I'm working on it. But it's clearly a message from the other side. I don't suppose there's a picture of a goat under the drivers seat?

    2005 vs 2006 HP

Not many of you know this, but there was a problem with red GT's made in around August 2005. Extensive testing proved them to be way too powerful for 'average' drivers with figures that were simply off the charts for most dyno testing. Subsequent GT's were de-tuned after this moment of...

    "I Fought For You"

Yes, quite. I often watch documentaries on the second world war and it never ceases to stop me in my tracks when the narrator says something like 'between 400 and 600 died on this spot, the numbers are uncertain.....' and you think about the death of an individual going unmarked by history...

Or worse, you meet and she wants to know the quality of your, ahem, 'genetic material'. "could you make deposit right here please?".

    "I Fought For You"

On the subject of bravery and reflection, this was an interesting tale. This lady died without recognition (in her lifetime) but fortunately was remembered afterwards. The government of the 50's decided to terminate her war pension - staggering that she dealt with all of this with such quiet...

    "I Fought For You"

Most little towns in England (and Europe and in the US too I imagine) have war memorials. One of our local memorials had the bronze plaques with the names of the dead removed, we assume to be melted down for scrap. What kind of person would remove the engraved names of those who have served...

    Eagle Vs. Goat

Incredible footage..... I'm amazed at the strength of the Golden Eagle. I've had a tame one (as far as such an animal can be tamed) sit on my arm, you wouldn't think it would have the power shown in that video...

    Last Murci (#4099) made

My view too. The GT, fortunately for us, is an impeccable and timeless design. There are some Lambos and Ferraris (Muira, 250SWB etc) that have similar traits, but not many from the modern era.

    Expensive camera car...!

You're right, I've never been West, my US experience is probably 50 trips to New York (and up state NY) on business, and further business trips to Chicago, Atlanta, Boston and Washington - oh, and a couple of trips to Puerto Rico. I've never made a leisure trip to the USA, so my experience is...
