2005 vs 2006 HP

It never ceases to amaze me how people assume you are an idiot if you are on the internet. Or maybe people really believe the stuff they put on eBay. I don't know, but I just know that nothing good ever comes of being a total exaggerator/fabricator of fantastical stories on eBay.

Well, I hesitated to say this, but is this not "Stunts" father selling the car he won at McDonalds?

Just teasing dude!

Also look at the engine shot, that TB, sure does not look like a polished accufab, oh wait..... Maybe installed AFTER the pic.........

With regard to the solid engine mounts....my 2005 has 17,000 miles....does that mean my rubber is drooping??? :))

Most buyers prefer a "no stories" car, but the ad for this one reads like a fiction novel.

Something about what you said, just doesn't sound right!

Don't know if this has been brought up before, but a seller in WI is stating that the 2006 GT's were detuned by 50 hp because of the axle bolt failures .....

"Did you know that the 2005 cars had over 50 hp MORE than the 2006 cars? It is true (of course after mods they can be equal) Ford reduced the tuning to stop breaking axle bolts etc...in 2006."

BS?? :confused

:eek SHELBY!!! I need to trade my 06 in for an 05 :willy

A picture is worth a 1000 words

Not many of you know this, but there was a problem with red GT's made in around August 2005. Extensive testing proved them to be way too powerful for 'average' drivers with figures that were simply off the charts for most dyno testing. Subsequent GT's were de-tuned after this moment of muscular motor madness.

I was lucky enough to buy a red 05 car. It's quite something.

damn and I sold my red one!!

Congrats to you, but is your rubber now drooping?

I received a phone call from a car collector in Chicago last night asking my advise about this car. My advise, Buyer Beware. ....Oh, I was glad however to learn that my '06 cars are much faster than my '05 car. I hear that colors make a big difference in speed potential as well. :frown

With a resulting 10% premium in market price!!

I asked this guy what the deal was with the frame rails, and his answer is that the rails weren't cut . He said that the bumper rails slide into the frame rails??????? Interesting, my bumper bolts onto the frame rails!!!!

My stock muffler is worth at least $5K!

time to go drinking...... maybe thats the reason the ad reads like a cheap novel.....

The frame rails for the bumper are a separate part that can be replaced, but his are 100% cut. I can see it with my own eyes. He also says that 05 cars have 50 more HP than 06 cars, so what he says has very little credibility to me.

There is a also another gem currently on ebay--a 92 Viper. "1of only 200 made" Hand built by Carol (sic) Shelby and team Viper". It will come as a surprise to team Viper that they only produced 200 instead of nearly 300. I also wonder what it was like working side by side with Shelby when they were hand building these cars.

But buy with confidence--the sell's ebay name is "pimpster" ( you can't make this stuff up)
