Tmstunts post really got me thinking of how we are influenced by our personal experiences and the dangers of sterotyping. IMO the "cheeseball" issues must be a SoCal thing because they are in conflict with my personal experiences in the Midwest and South/Southeast USA. The Corvette is a 55 year old American automotive icon and to many of us, particularly those over 55 who grew up as middle class Americans, before we were old enough to drive, the Corvette is what we aspired to own more than any other car. I owned my 1st Corvette ('60 Fulie) as a teenager, had a couple Callaway TT's in the late '80's, own a couple Z06's today and looking forward to the ZR1. The only 2 local people I personally know on the ZR1 list are car collectors who also own GT's. To me, owning a Corvette has nothing to do with collectibility or car investments, it has more to do with fullfilling dreams. Cars are typically poor investments but lots of fun because of the personal niche they fill. :cheers
