What have you done with your new Ford GT?

Got my first set of replacement tires at 18k miles. Had a few thousand more miles on them, but had a second nail/ screw in rear and slow leak, and was in service for other stuff, so decided to replace all around. One track session on them, one Mohave Mile session, and commuter miles.

Whoa! that's a lot of miles on any set of tires. I know it doesn't rain much in AZ but how does the car react in the rain with the SC2's? I was told not to drive in the rain by my delivery specialist with the Michelins.

I just got it wrapped and back last Friday night. Since then I have shown it at two car show, including the Bella Machina at Stan Hywett Hall in Akron along side my GT40 and 2005 GT. We had over 6,000 attendees. The GT's were a hit.

You should have installed Blizzak snow tires and let us know how well the NGT does in snow.

I attended the Hot Wheels Legends tour in Miami. Hot wheels is celebrating their 50th anniversary. They take a nice picture of your car so it looks like it's in the package!! It was a public show great to hear the reactions from a lot of people have never seen the new GT in person and they loved it!

I’m not a “picture-taker”. I’m either too busy, too forgetful, or too dumb to think about snapping a photo. The good news is that there were several friends snapping shots. As soon as I get them, I’ll post.

Ok, this just in from the local press, Cleveland Plain Dealer. The reporter covered the show and included shots of the ‘66 GT40 and 2005 GT, but did NOT include photos of the 2018 GT. In fact few people knew what the heck the new GT was!

I have a display plaque that gives the history and brief description of the car on display. The reporter plagiarized my copy verbatim for his article. As you quoted, “ Just sayin...”

Getting ready for Road Atlanta

Gentlemen,

Today I wedged my new GT into my 80" between the wheel wells Trailex. I already modified the rear part of the inner fender wells for more rear wheel clearance but there are other issues. Getting to the strap anchor in front of the right rear wheel is almost impossible. A few more trailer mods next week and I'll be good to go.

Thanks Tim, brings back memories and the red GT40 is beautiful. Here a tip, when I show my GT all I Take is my IPhone because every young person is carrying the best cameras money can buy. I just pass out my “Ambassador to Ford and the Ford GT Program” cards and ask them to email me their pictures. It works every time with great results. I spent all my time passing out model cars to the kids or answering questions about the GT. I also don’t have much time for photography either! It is amazing some of the candid pictures sent to me at different shows and displays. Thanks for posting. PS most of the time I have to stay very close to my GT ,even when it’s roped off to keep some from opening the doors or touching it. Thanks for the pictures!

Tint World, Webster, Texas open house and my Girl was surrounded by Corvettes, Lamborghini’s, Camaro ‘s And they were all Black. She was placed on a pedestal for all to enjoy and to examine her XPel wrap and Clear Pro Ceramic Coating. She was enjoyed by all especially the kids with their Model GT’s!

So you ceramic coated your NFGT ? I was thinking about adding it to a Lambo 1st. Then might consider my 06 GT.
