I have confirmed this, but let's try to keep this low key until all Rays family has had time to find out. I am going to have this thread moved to the owners section for now so its not viewable to the general public....
This is an extremely sad day.
So very sad to hear this. Shockingly sad news. In the short time I spent with Ray, I got a lifetime of memories. Rest in Peace my friend. You and your family made the 'damn Brit' feel so welcome when I stayed with you.
Took my breath away when I read this. I met Ray and his family a few years ago at the Miami Mile. His generosity and performance there made a lifetime memory for me.
Ray sent me a note Monday night telling me he was getting checked out in his Sea Fury yesterday. I don't know if that is what he was flying. I feel physically sick. I have no coherent thoughts. Jesus please help Janna and his 4 boys.
Ray was such a warm and down to earth person. He was a very inviting friend. He loved sharing his passions.
When we were at Miller Mtirsports park he offered me to drive his new Radical.
The problem was that he us tall and I'm short. It would have taken 30 minutes to adjust the seat for me to drive it.He said no problem I'll do for you so you can experience the radical .
I was really impressed that he would do that . I declined his offer because I thought it was to much of an inconvience to him. Than Mark jumped in and drove it!
We need some kind FGT memorial to honor such a fine and unique individual.
I can't add much other than on the occasions where I have met Ray he was always friendly, generous and genuine. Tragic loss for certain. Prayers go out to his family.
