Have we talked you into driving yet Frank? I need to know so I can plan the route out of TX. If you are driving we are meeting in OKC. If not it is shorter for us to go NW to Albuquerque or Amarillo to hook up on 40.

No it is not!

It is an effort to keep all informed.

DBK is on top of it.

Enough said!

Was just giving the KING (DBK) a hard time! :biggrin

Will we get pics of you guys piggybacking? We call it something else down here in TX.

Spirit I'm, guessing that from now on all requests from Dr. Frank about driving will fall on deaf ears. I promise I wont request to piggyback with you.

Drop my name from list. Besides probably having conflicts with Son's football schedule I also do not trust driving the GT to the desert. I have had trouble with hoses coming off an quite frankly, I do not trust this car any more. I guess you can say I have lost trust when I worry about cheap fittings failing on an expensive car. Certainly will not take it to he track again. Looking for replacement that I can feel comfortable in.

Here's a little video clip you guys from Texas may appreciate! Somewhere akin to piggybacking or spooning............ or Dancing with a Man!

Triheart

Sorry to hear of your misfortune, I suspect that with any production there are some less than optimal parts and breakdowns. Hope you find what you are looking for.

I can relate with what you are going through, but I can assure you that if it is addressed by the right person, it will not happen again. I had this issue with one car that came through here. Hose blew off, we fixed it then it blew off again. I got the replacement that ford offered for this and it never happened again. owner has driven it MANY happy miles!!!

I had a hose blow off on my '06 and had the same initial reaction about it being a cheap 10 cent clamp on such an expensive car, but found out the hose clamps are neither cheap nor poor quality, and if properly installed by a knowledgeable GT tech they will not fail. When I discovered the facts, my :frown became a :biggrin. Damnest thing, after 6,000+ miles in 10 months, the :biggrin just keeps getting bigger. I understand about losing confidence in something, but for most owners the more knowledge one gains about the Ford GT, the more confidence inspiring the GT becomes, but it's not for everyone. Best of luck finding what you are looking for. :cheers

Nobody liked the Dancing with A Man music video??? I thought it was pretty funny........... :biggrin Was at SEMA final dinner as the guest of the President of the organization about 8-9 years ago. All black tie final dinner, Carrot Top was the entertainment. 5000 dinners in Black Tie. Not one joke Carrot Top told receive a single laugh. Went on for about 20 minutes, then he quit, walked off the stage, told everyone this was the worst evening of his life, and got a standing ovation from the SEMA crowd!!! Just goes to show ya, funny is in the eye of the beholder.

Actually the hose clamps used on the GT are the best designed clamps I have seen on a production car! Just get someone knowledgeable to inspect, repair, or replace any questionable hose and you shouldn't have any more problems. I few of my clamps were loose as well I tighten them up while I as installing the Accufab hose springs. A TSB for some 05 GTs also mention that one of the hose fittings should be replaced with a newer version to avoid potential failures.

don't give up that easy

Triheart 7 - Hey, take your FGT to Shadowman. He can fix anything. The FGT clamps are trick. There must be something simple to fix your problem. Don't give up on the coolest car on the planet!
