The GT is really good at Daytona. Had my white one at 190 mph on the front straight & it was super solid. Daytona is absolutely a bucket list track like the Ring, The Glen, Laguna etc.

I can contact the Museum & see if we can get a dinner there + Daytona is only an hour from Orlando in case you want to take the family

Nah, but they are having TOO much fun with his and hers Radicals. They are both racing in the Radical series at Spring Mountain. It is a real hoot to watch. We picked up a Spec Miata last week and Ryan may start racing in that series which is on the same days as the Radical races. You can see the calendar for Spring Mountain here: https://www.springmountainmotorsports.com/event-calendar/calendar

Coming back to the possibility of hosting Rally 9 at Spring Mountain, I think everyone would really enjoy the facility there as well as the awesome race track. There is a multitude of possible track configurations that can be requested for a given venue. Having had the opportunity to drive most if not all of them, the one depicted below might be a good one for the GT's - and safe. We could elect to add in the "bus stop" and/or "the bowl". The facility also has a couple of VERY large skid pad areas. If there was enough interest, we could water down one of these areas and allow members to experiment with car control in a safe environment. Las Vegas is a short 50 miles away so there is plenty to do there when we are not playing at the track.

Here's the track configuration I mentioned....

If you purchase a brand new one with all of the options in the US, I think you'd spend about $110K. You can find lightly used ones in the $40K-$80K if you look/wait for the "right" one.

If I was guessing - because it is ONLY a guess until something is locked down, I would keep the middle of October available.

While we are waiting I'll add some more goodies to my all black GT

Some gold CCW wheels, Penske shocks, trans cooler, & leather shift boot

Question about the seats, I noticed a metal bar at rear bottom of seat. Are these for mounting racing harnesses ?

BTW I LOVE my Stillen Exhaust & Headers, the car sounds like a Thunder storm :)

If you're referring to the one behind the passenger seat, it's for the LATCH system for a children's car seat.

Sorry it's taken so long. I meant to get all this done over the holidays but the entire family got sick and it took me forever to shake it. Working on it now. Will have info soon.

Thanks, He's using a booster seat now. Why do they have them behind the driver's seat too ?

Baby GT drivers ? :lol

Read the Owner's Manual - a large section is devoted to this topic.
