GREAT news. I'll be there and will lend any kind of assistance I can if needed.

absolutely untrue.
you are confusing a Mile event in California with Texas.
I'll run it down for you.....
In Texas to run 190 mph plus you need only the following for your GT:
Helmet
Gloves
Suit
5 point harness
fire extinguisher
why do I get this picture of Soroush sucking on a garden hose like he is trying to pull a golf ball through to get more fuels to his engine. Whatever it takes to get the job done........ :lol
BTW Chip, I am sure it will be in your write up but what kind of tires did you run?
Great getting to spend some time with you Mullet!!
Fantastic run by the way!!! Car sounds bad ass!!!
Thanks for the help with the battery charger and other items!!
Can't wait until the next round :biggrin
Ed, the timing guru working the mile, is working on a new system for next event. He's going to keep the 132ft trap but break it down into 66ft sections for the high HP cars that are still accelerating at a HIGH RATE through the last 132ft. Remember when you look at your GPS you may have been in the gas a LITTLE past the mile marker also. I can also verify that his timing is far more accurate than the GPS will be.
Mullet, your buddy (Eric?) has some shots on his flickr that include a White GT (14M) ripping down the end of the mile WITH HIS CLAMSHELL CLICKED OPEN!!!!! Yikes. That's lucky it didn't rip off, and quite a testament to the strength of the hooks........ Can I link the pic? Maybe he'll come on here and do it himself.
yes Kumar went 221 with the clambshell on the hooks. Extremely amazing it didn't blow off....
:lol
just think if that $17000 clamshell would have been torn off......(insert bitter beer faced Kumar here).
:rofl
Just think about how much faster Kumar would have ran with the clamshell closed.
