Oh, only about 100% agree.

Actually I'd always go for the XKR in preference to the XK8. I had two XKR convertibles as my daily drivers and a Vanquish as the weekender. The XKR is a whole other animal to the XK8. A very underrated car in my opinion.

It is said, usually in a very quiet voice, that the very latest 5 litre XKR is a better car than the DB9.

I've owned Jags as well. My wife looked at the XKR, XFR, Maser, Bentley and others. Decided on the DB9. It's a real beauty and she couldn't be happier.

I checked it out. It was sitting for years and extremely clean. After inspection, new battery install, we fired it up and took it for a drive. Drove very nice, raised it to check for leaks and the rear main was leaking just as was suggested by someone here on the forum. In addition, there was no title. I walked away.

Estate sale, lots of things are missing or can not be located, including titles.

An honest title is no big deal to replace - IF DONE BY THE CAR'S ACTUAL OWNER OR HIS ESTATE'S EXEC.

I've been there & done that...

Follow GT Joey's advice. Caveat Emptor!

Personally, I would take a pass. If it sounds to good to be true .... it almost always is .... PD
