I guess I better get hopping on airline tix. DBK, any plans/leads on group lodging such as local chateaus. Or are participants on their own? Thanks!
I will send out some information on available accommodations to paid registrants shortly. LM accommodations are always decentralized, but I will have at least a few places locked for GT owners.

Application sent, payment made, acknowledgement received, and now on the hunt for air flight.
Where to leave from? That is the task at hand.
Air fares vary substantially from San Antonio, Austin, Dallas, or Houston.
So it comes down to economics vs. convenience.
Lodging info will be greatly appreciated.

Definitely interested in GT group accomodation. We're going to combine LeMans with Goodwood the following week, plus some theatre and shopping in London for Mrs Mongrel, so our flights are still undefined, probably will fly in and out of London

Thinking about flying into Munich 5 days earlier and renting a car to get to Le Mans. Anybody have a good itinerary I can look at?
Thinking something like this:
1st night - Innsbruck, Austria
2nd night - Como, Italy
3rd night - Maybe Milan?
4th night - Chambery
5th night - Le Mans
Any help would be appreciated!

We are also definitely going to spend some time in England. Joyce has become obsessed with ancestry, and wants to visit the area of her pre-Revolutionary family members.
I would also consider going to Goodwood. Was there once, and it just happened to be a GT-40 Commemorative event. They had the 3 winning GT's of '66 displayed on a vertical wall ( pretty cool ) so I think it must have been the 30th anniversary. Anyone know what this year's theme is? I know that Goodwood has expanded tremendously in the last 30 years, so it must really be something now.
BTW - Just got my Daytona credentials by FedEx. Schedule looks great, but pass has Ganasi unlimited 02 on it. No NGT - boo hoo.

It was not included in any of the materials, but just as an FYI, as an additional experience, VIP Hospitality attendees will be able to book helicopter tours of the circuit during the race for $125. That's an awesome price. Sonoma Road Rally Champions Matt & Danielle and I went up last year at the race just as the light was fading. It's incredible to watch the LMP1 cars navigate through Dunlop and Tertre Rouge before absolute disappearing in the distance faster than a chopper can chase them.
