What is a "Dragon Lap?"

It makes a lot more sense now that they've written it out in an email. :lol

When I was at the track and my contact said we could do "dragon laps" I thought "hey, not my thing, but I'll award them points for creativity."

He was saying "Drag-N-Laps" because of the drag start off the concrete launchpad. :lol

Hi Everyone!

Just a couple things before the event starts on Wednesday:

Attached are the directions between the Hyatt Regency New Orleans and the Nola Motorsports Park. Also attached is the itinerary and a pre-track day tech sheet for NMSP. Please take a second to look them over and print them out. I will also post these on the forum. Weather looks to be right about 83-84* and sunny, so bring an extra umbrella and substantial galoshes.

If you have any questions about dropping off a trailer at NMSP, please contact:

Contact Kellie Warrick
Ext. 115
kelly@nolamotor.com

The address to the track is:

Nola Motorsports Park
11075 Nicolle Boulevard
Avondale, LA 70094

(this may show up as "Weswego" for the city.)

The address for the hotel is:
Hyatt Regency New Orleans
601 Loyola Avenue,
New Orleans, Louisiana, USA 70113
Tel: +1 504 561 1234 Fax: +1 504 523 0488

If anybody needs to get a hold of me, I will be in New Orleans late tomorrow and would be happy to try and make any luggage or airport runs if anyone needs it on Tuesday or early Wednesday. .

Thanks,
Dave

I just unloaded 2 cars. After checking with our guy at the hotel I decided to unload at the hotel instead of the track. Very easy & lots of room. Loyola is the street in front of the lobby & it's a quiet 6 lane road under partial construction. Hardly any traffic & easy for the truck & trailer. We just parked in the lane next to the median (which is kind of a like a mini-park setting) in front of lobby. You can view the photos under the Rally VII Photos thread.

The entrance that we use is not for the public. It is the valet entrance. If you stand on Loyola looking at the front lobby the entrance we use is to the immediate right. My car is as low they get & I made it with no scraping; although, there is one pot hole with Dr Frank's name on the driveway to the left before you enter the parking structure. It's not that bad. You will be given a card that will operate the scanner to open the gate. Go straight when entering the parking. The gate to the right is the exit. We have the entire 3rd floor which will park 75 cars. During the week Thai "Tie" is the man for help with our cars. A young Vietnamese kid that loves bikes & cars. He was at NOLA watching the AMA motorcycle races during the weekend.

GO check out The Saint Hotel next to the Ritz Carlton on Canal Street (couple of blocks from the Hyatt). Ford GT owner (me) owns the property.
