Just finished my GTG bumper delete with an wrapped Accufab with shorten flat black tips. A big thanks to Shadowman for his expert assistance! :thumbsup

She looks awesome as the direct result of all your hard work.

Thank you for the kind words and the opportunity to be a part of your project

Takes care

Black Ice - I like your exhaust black. Now that looks retro.

I also like the GT Guys bumper delete as it should flow more air for us performance junkies!

Roush Technologies in the UK should get the credit for the look. I saw a photo of their Avro FGT and liked the ass end.

Revolve

We have sold about a third or our kits to Roush UK, and now Revolve over the past 3 years.

I'll be very interested in it. I have Accufab Xpipes and will it work w/ the high exhaust outlet? With modifications?

BTW, with the rear bumper gone, we really need a nice carbon fiber rear diffuser to finish off the backend.

Unfortunatly it won't work with any other exhausts. If there is enough interest, which it looks like there will be, the kit will come with 2 new screens, modified frame rails, and one of our X-pipes.

Working on the carbon fiber too!!!!

I guess a lot of owners will "accidentally" backup into a curb so they will need a new CF diffuser.

Honey the GTGs CF one is less than the one from Ford. :lol

Isn't the stock one is CF as well, just without the CF weave finish?

Here's a question I should have asked before getting my heart set on the bumper delete...

What's under the rear of the car to absorb rear impact if I remove the bumper? I realize the rear panels will get smashed if I'm hit from the back, but I don't want to make the car unsafe just for a better look.

Is there something substantial under there that can take a hit?

The transaxle followed by the engine and those pieces are connected to the main frame at 3 points. My guess is that the bumpers are so flimsy that an hit at over 5 mph would crush them like a soda can. The bumper is great protection from a accidental hit at very low speeds, like when parking, or a very light tap from behind, but IHMO does nothing for hits that would likely cause bodily injury.

Ice, I believe the rear diffuser is fiberglass product and can be mended as such. A carbon fiber piece would probably be 2-3X as much. I think JBG has some insight as someone in the AZ area made some. There are old posts about this, but FYI, I thought it was prohibitively expensive considering how easy it is to damage the part.

Spectacular!

Well it still isn't finished yet but it is close. Just need to finish the exhaust. Thinking about calling it the "Vintage Style".

As far as the other 2 options CDC and ours, we have many of both and we like them both. Our thoughts is that our kit is more of the original GT40 look and the CDC is more of the 2001 show car look. I do like ours a little more just because you don't have to worry about painting anything.
