Ahhh... Any chance you'll have it ready for next Monday when I drop my car off to get the 3.90 gears? Kyle, I am looking forward to the new gears and clutch, but if you have the Mr. Fusion kit I will be able to go back and watch the 1-2-3 at LeMans in 1966 "next week"!

I can jump ahead about three months, take the information we will undoubtedly have gathered during that time, come back and have a complete kit ready for you by Monday, that won't be a problem.:cheers:rofl

I too have been asked by others as such I asked and can share the following;
Now I do not have the final answer as this is still being discussed within Whipple however I am told that a target date of approximatley 4 weeks is being worked towards. However IMO because the project required many new pieces of hardware and not simply a larger case that they are spending additional time testing before releasing it.

'Mirrors exactly what I was told as well.
If I remember correctly, early on they found a couple things they weren't completely satisfied with regarding the new unit, and they just weren't going to RUSH into releasing it under those circumstances.
It apparently HAS taken them a wee bit longer to make everything satisfactory than they'd planned though. But, kudos to them for sticking to their guns!
...'Sure wish they made a Whipple setup for the new Hemi...

The Gen 1 and Gen II Whipple produce very similar results IMO and because the Gen III will likely be able to spin a bit slower to create the same measured boost there is a benefit however IMO because the discharge air temperatures will forever be the issue I suspect that any measured increase in horsepower to be a modest at best and yet having an even slower spinning supercharger is certainly a good thing.
Now because the new supercharger case is larger it will retain more heat hence transfer more heat aka discharge air temperature as such in the end I suspect that under like operational conditions even though the resulting power will be similar the larger Whipple will be able to ram more air in the gals when compared to the Gen I and Gen II if spun faster and as long as the discharge air temps are able to be controlled and if the fuel sufficient specifically the octane then more power will result.
Now these are just my thoughts
I do not see this as the Holy Grail but rather IMO a nice progression of the Whipple product.
Having shared this; there is absolutely no doubt that the larger Whipple will add even more "WOW" factor to an alreadly stunning engine bay.

Would a Gen III Whipple w/ a conservative 19# pulley, stock cats, Xpipe and a 100 octane tune running 100 octane gas be able to reach 200 MPH at the Texas Mile under ideal conditions? How much WHP is needed to be in the 200MPH club? 800? 850? 900?

I would think so with a good tailwind and a 100 octane tune. But from what others had posted in Oct. the winds are usually not in ones favor.

I had a customer/Forum member with his gal there several weeks ago running a modest tune and a 19 PSI Gen II run 206 or 208 so your goal is well within reach. FYI if he had run on Sunday I suspect that another minor tweak would have had him passing through the 210 mark; this while remaining very conservative.

note: the day everyone was running the mile at this particular event there was a strong tail wind good for at least 6-7 mile an hour.

Wouldn't that make our cars the first CA smog legal cars to do the mile in 200+ other than the Veyron?
In the past, October has usually had better conditions to run.
However, this past spring had the best conditions out of any of the events.
