HP gains with exhaust and tune?

That GT was the same car that was used in the Motor Trend road test, when it went 10.97. The mods consisted of the Kenne-Bell supercharger overdrive unit, the Accufab throttle body and Inlet Sleeve, a Borla exhast system and some computer modifications. The HP stock before any mods was 531 at...

    Tubi Exhaust Installation

And you know this, how? No disrespect, but the stock exhaust system and the Borla system produce virtually the same horsepower and torque on the dyno. Same car, same day, same dyno, back to back runs (this was the silver GT that was used in the Motor Trend article). No increase whatsoever...

HP gains with exhaust and tune?

Good question on the SCT re-flashing, I don't have an answer. We never did it as a "stand alone" modification, only in conjunction with the supercharger overdrive unit and throttle body installation in the past. Yesterday, however, we did do a re-flash (and an exhaust installation) on a...

    Tubi Exhaust Installation

Interesting theory there, Beach-GT, except for one thing. The air inlets for the engine are located OUTSIDE of the car, not inside the engine compartment.

    0-60 and Quarter Mile Times

Ugh, wait a minute now. Are you going to let that stand in your way? What kind of GT enthusiast are you anyway? Besides, if you win the $1,000 Accufab is giving away to the winner, the transportation costs will almost be a wash, LOL.

    0-60 and Quarter Mile Times

If you are going to be in the So Cal area in October (the 21st and 22nd), come on out to California Speedway in Fontana, and find out how quick YOUR GT can run in the 1/4 mile. Accufab will be hosting the "Ford GT Round-Up", open to any GT owner, which will be held in conjunction with the Fun...

    Tubi Exhaust Installation

....and if a frog had wings, he wouldn't bump his butt. The Accufab exhaust system is not a Kinetics exhaust, whatever that is, nor have we ever sold them our GT X-Pipe system. Your post is like someone saying, "if Honolulu is as cold as Minneapolis, it's too cold for me".

    New Accufab GT X-Pipe

It's not much different than the sound of the Borla, and not at all objectionable. Were it not for the design with the merger at the X, it WOULD be uncomfortably loud. John says that "it's a sound that commands respect", if that's any help.

Anybody up for a little fun?

Mark your calendars. October 21 and 22 (Saturday and Sunday) The FUN FORD WEEKEND Drag Race and Car Show series is coming to town, to California Speedway in Fontana, CA. The FFW series is a 12 event national coast to coast series sponsored in part by FoMoCo. The event is called the "4th...

    New Accufab GT X-Pipe

Steve, modifying one of our pipes for your application should not be a problem. In regard to the sound, I found it to be comfortable. It certainly is louder as to be expected. We made the offer to all of the ones that we installed that if the customer was unhappy with the sound (or anything else...

    New Accufab GT X-Pipe

Thanks for the complements. We wanted to deliver a quality part at a reasonable price. As previously stated, dealing in relatively small quantities doesn't always work out to be cheap. As for the exhaust being unsupported, that's not the case. We supply fabricated brackets that attach to the...

    New Accufab GT X-Pipe

Actually George meant to pull the pins. In regard to sawing off the tailpipes, I don't recommend it but it certainly can make things easier. That's fine for the end user, but we cannot take a sawzall to a customers car and hand him back his muffler in 3 pieces. Certainly care must be taken...

    New Accufab GT X-Pipe

There is nothing trick about the X-Pipe installation. It is, however, a little time consuming to remove the original muffler system. The tilt-up bonnet needs to be removed along with the lower defuser (tail pan) and lower rear grille. We can do the complete job (off with the old, on with the...

    New Accufab GT X-Pipe

Sorry, no sound clip. And we have never tried this set-up without the cats being in place. Even with the cats, the Accufab X-Pipe has a rich, powerful sound.

    New Accufab GT X-Pipe

Neither. We have never seen any other design up close other than the Borla system. This is a design that works, does what it is supposed to do and is not uncomfortably noisy.

    New Accufab GT X-Pipe

I guess it was only a matter of time. Accufab has released a new exhaust system for the GT's. It is a direct replacement for the standard GT box-type muffler (or FRPP unit) and tail-pipe tips. The Accufab GT X-Pipe is a polished stainless steel piece and retains the OEM catalytic converters...

NHRA and roll bars for the GT

Accufab throttle body and inlet support

I can't comment about the Reseller's Permit number in this situation as they weren't discussing it with me, probably someone in our office. Faxing over a copy of the Permit is all we need to deal with the sales tax, but the Accufab Dealer Program does require a little more effort (filling out...

Accufab throttle body and inlet support

Flow numbers with the "plenum"? What plenum, there is no plenum? The TB bolts directly to the supercharger inlet. As far as sales tax, your purcheser is in California, as are we. Therefore, sales tax is required unless the purchaser provides a copy of his Resellers Permit, which he didn't...

Accufab throttle body and inlet support

As promised, here are the flow ratings and comparisons. The stock GT throttle body is good for 1590 CFM and the Accufab TB is good for 1807 CFM, both at 28". This is just under a 14% advantage in CFM (cubic feet per minute) rating. It must be noted that these CFM numbers are in a naturally...
