As others have said, AM reception on non-mac (i.e. sanyo) cars is poor. FM is OK. I don't think it is a radio issue either, likely the antenna.. My JVC replacement head unit AM reception is equally poor.

I assume you need the tool to pull a mcintosh radio? If so you're getting the right part. If you're pulling a sanyo radio you're not. Just checking as I made a set of sanyo tools anyone can borrow if they need it.
