I have raced my (standard) GT against a (standard) 911 lightweight on a track. The GT demolished the 911 on the straights, but the 911 easily won in the corners.... It made for an enjoyable race. The twistier the circuit, the more advantage a Porsche would have.

I think you're going to have a huge amount of fun in that car - congratulations! Just remember to keep your eyes on the road ahead and not on all those dials........ I had a little while driving the 458 and was impressed, it's a rocket. A rocket that handles.

I probably wouldn't pay more than $1k for the Mona Lisa - what would I want with a painting of that type? However, the fact that others are prepared to pay more, sets the value. $150k for a DB5 would be easily under half of it's value. If you find one, a real one, buy it immediately. Hell...

OK, the view here is that it's worth an easy £200k ($321,800), but at auction if listed as your typical 'barn find' on the right day, it could reach £300k ($482,700). DB5's have absolutely rocketed in value in the UK, but it is a bit of a minefield - so one would need to market it carefully...
