Yesterday saw a terrific display of 11 GTs at Brands Hatch to support the Mountune sponsored GT3 car of Team RPM competing in the International GT Open series. Alex Mortimer started the 50 minute race having qualified 4th overall and 1st in class. Unfortunately Peter Bamford had a minor detour through the gravel at Paddock Hill and the duo finished the race 9th in class. GT owners from around the UK enjoyed access to the race garage and the chance to chat with drivers and team.

Nice showing!:thumbsup

Was Thomas Mutsch driving for Mountune?

Not this time - Thomas stepped in for the last British GT round as Alex was contracted to drive the CRS Ferrari 458.

A great day - thank you Mountune! I did take some shots which I'll try to post here later....

Was that Jeremy Clarkson's ex car? ......The blue one with the standard wheels?

Good spot! - that's the one. Also of interest the red car with the gold side stripes next to it
was originally supplied to Alan Mann.

I'm glad I washed it now!

Most Excellent, so was Shamus Alldritt there with his famous Red GT? :biggrin Hope he didn't take any of you out on a Pub Crawll! And then an Indian Curry? :cheers

We want more pictures please!!!
I think you UK guys should plan an outing to the rally!
11 cars is awesome turn out considering there was only 28 sold in the UK .Plus Rob Gerkink did the reverse import from the UK to the US!

I think there are about 20-30 imported cars in the UK....

You can see 7 in the pic above (heritage, 2x black, 2x red, yellow).

Not that it matters though, because the chance of coming across another GT are super slim!

Being British means:

Leaving work with your Polish co-workers,
Stopping off at an Irish pub and having a Stella Artois,
Deciding to grab a quick Indian Curry before driving home in your BMW,
Calling your girlfriend or Mum on your iPhone4,
Sitting down on your Swedish furniture to watch and American SitCom on your Japanese Tele

Cheers

That means HHGT isn't British. :lol

My wife is British.
Her saying is.
Americans live to work .
Europeans work to live.

I thought Europeans worked to support their Welfare system? :bored

OK you can delete now.

I have some pictures but have been away on holiday - I will post soon, promise... :)

Great day out courtesy of Mountune. many thanks Dave. Unbelievably for the UK it was too hot and I had to shelter out of the sun. I'm proposing a Bruntingthorpe VMAX trip next time. do Ford owners club ever go? Having followed the Mila Miglia this year in an Elise I'm tempted to take the Ford next yr and put some manners on these highly strung prancing horses. Swiss Alps were the best drivers roads I've found. would be keen to share FGT car transport to/from either destination as the drive down is tedious.
