Two of the extruded aluminum Ford GT's just sold on ebay this weekend. $1700 for the first one, $1675 for the second one. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=190305881226 Supposedly only 50 were made. I took mine and put it someplace safe! Unreal!

Oil pressure gauge drops to 0 at Idle

Since it has 4G7Z (Ford GT service part prefix) , yes, I would say this is a special unique Ford GT sensor. I plan to buy a spare.

Oil pressure gauge drops to 0 at Idle

You guys were right - it was the oil pressure sender. The old sender could "twist" about it's centerline - the shell of the sender about 1/8" like it was loose from the housing when I pulled it out. New part: 4G7Z-9D290-AB which cost $35 fixed it and oil pressure is now 75 at start , 50...

Oil pressure gauge drops to 0 at Idle

Thanks for the help guys - I pulled the lower belly pans off and inspected the sender. The outer sleeve of the oil pressure sender is loose - it rotates 1/8" turn back and forth along with the connector. Hope this is the problem. I have a new one on order ($38.00) and waiting for it to come...

Oil pressure gauge drops to 0 at Idle

Well now it happened to me today! I took the car to work and oil pressure was just fine - around 50 pounds normal pressure and was fine all the way to work (26 miles). After work, I jumped in, started it up and oil pressure was only 25 lbs. this was strange since it's typically 75 at cold...

How Many $$$ / Replace Engine Temp Gauge????

Low battery was the culprit when my guages acted up. New battery fixed it. Charging the factory battery did not work. It simply would not hold a charge. I found an Autolite plug-n-play battery that fit perfect at 1/2 the price.

FS: Pair of Ford GT Seats - Brand New in Wrappers

The prices are as of current MSRP list from Ford Dealer. I track prices on just about all the parts because I am repairing a car and I've noticed the prices are continuing to go up on all the parts - especially body parts. Headlights are now NLA due to supplier went out of business. A-arms...

    Front BILLET'd A- ARM

They were the latest - billet aluminum (dash "C" part number) - I bought one of them as a spare. Great price at $365.00 since they are $1034.98 MSRP from Ford dealer (and going up!). Jim

    floor pan adhesive question

The butyl is only for final sealing / waterproofing - it is not for the bonding of the floors to the chassis. Make sure you clean the surfaces and use the Bonding adhesive first - it is a 2 part adhesive, sold by the Ford Dealer as Motorcraft TA-1 (50 ml) or TA-1-B (250 ml) tubes that is a 2...

    Rear clamshell adjustment

panel removed so you can see the pencil braces. these 3 braces control the up/down/in/out position of the facia corner.

    Rear clamshell adjustment

It's the silver bolt in the corner. I'll attach a picture (or try to anyway)

    Rear clamshell adjustment

There are two (2) T-27 torx head screws that hold the rain trough and rear facia to the hinge "hoop" bar and if you loosen those and pull back, you move the top portion of the rear facia rearward - clamshell has to be open to do that. On the sides of the facia at the very corner where it comes...

2006 sold at Russo & Steele

Yes, been watching prices and although Heritage models still get a premium, e-bay and consignment sellers are getting $130-155K, many in the $139K range depending on mileage. rather dissappointing but maybe predictable with current economy. Hope things improve.
