It's that time of year again!

The Romeo Peach Festival Car Show will occur at the Romeo Engine Plant Sunday, September 6th. Registration for the event is from 7:30 to 11am. The show is open until 5:00pm.

Ford Motor Company does not run this event. Nor does Ford Motor Company make any money off the event. The event is run by the local Romeo Lions Club and ALL PROCEEDS GO TO CHARITY. The Romeo Engine Plant simply hosts the event as a community service for the Lions Club .

For those that use GPS or MAPQUEST, the address for the Romeo Engine Plant and the event is:

701 East 32 Mile Road
Romeo, Michigan 48065

The plant is located NE of the intersection of M-53 and 32 Mile Road.

Time: 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM (register by 11am)
Entry Fee: $20 (or $15 if registered by 9/3/09) --- ALL PROCEEDS GO TO CHARITY
Enter in the WEST entrance of the Romeo Engine Plant for registration

There will not be a cruise to Stony Creek this year; staging for the Parade of Cars will occur from the KMart parking lot.

The registration form and flyer are too big (not by much) for me to post here, but PM me and I can email them to you if you are interested.

REMEMBER, IT'S ALL FOR CHARITY!

Last year was great. The air port accross the street hosted a huge breakfest and air show of vintage fighter planes and strange planes I have never seen B/4

The whole town is set up for all kinds of events & would take a day just to see everything going on.

If I am going to be intown that weekend I will there

If you are driving your GT, the best place to park is in the car show. You can park in an adjacent lot, and save a couple of $$, but your car will be better off in the show lot - been there, done that.

I will be driving to California that week :(

But last year they parked the GT front and center in the Ford Romeo Engine plants private area. V8Power and the plant manager made my day with putting a GT motor on a stand next to the car.

The coolest thing is in the early morning you park and jump on a shuttle van in the Ford parking lot which goes accross the street to the Romeo airport where they have a good showing of stunt aircraft and the fire & police cook breakfest for everyone then shuttles you back to the car show.

It is a whole town major event not just one street with bands, bars, circus, parades and lots of fun.

To confirm Corbar and tpraceman's entries:

Parking for spectators is next to the plant on the baseball field (East of the plant parking lot - the 3rd driveway East of M53). Again, proceeds go to charity. There are shuttles to and from parking to the rest of the festival (airport, car show, downtown events, etc). I would agree, the ball field is definitely not a place for your GT.
