whos got the lowest vin number amongst us?

Being produced in September 04 means it's an 05 model. Model years traditionally change in August so it would have had to be produced before August 04 to be considered an 04. Car companies can change year models whenever they want though so ultimately it's up to them. I'd say you will probably...

Is this really the 12th car built?

:rofl:rofl Well, I was trying to be a little more delicate about it than that, but I guess that about sums it up.:rofl:rofl There was one unusual thing about the car though. It had billet a-arms. A car that late in production should have forged arms shouldn't it?

Is this really the 12th car built?

I watched that one go across the block. It was a silver 2004 hardtop. It was a no sale at a top bid of $61000.00. It was the wrong kind of car for that auction, like the Ford GT. The buyers were there for the collector and custom cars.

Is this really the 12th car built?

I was at the Leake auction in Dallas this weekend and there was one GT there for sale. It was a white with blue stripes, all option 2005 with about 6000 miles if I remember right. It was being billed as the 12th car built. I found this strange since the vin was 1FAFP90S75Y401572 which would...

    Any bone marrow donors?

Gee Frank, you can stop with the big needle talk anytime now.:ack At this point I'll just wait and see which method they choose before I do any more research. Thanks for all the info.

    Any bone marrow donors?

Gee thanks Frank, all the needles didn't worry me much but now I gotta worry about a "drill".:eek Actually I'm told 80% of the donations are now done through blood filtration kinda like dialysis. Whichever procedure the doc decides to use, I'll be there. I just wanted to get around all the...

    My Wife's new GT

Congrats Steve. Fair warning though. The cops around here stay on high alert for a red GT. Somebody around here with a red one (cough, cough) keeps them stirred up so watch out. I had to buy a yellow one and tint the windows til the heat dies down.:lol

    Any bone marrow donors?

Has anyone here ever actually donated bone marrow? I've come up as a near perfect match to a leukemia victim. I'm excited about doing it and I've done a lot of research on the internet but I haven't found anybody who has actually done it. I'd like to know more from someone has actually...

    Rally 5 Miami

I love the Florida idea but I'm in for anywhere there is a 1 and 1/2 mile track. I'm much more into the straight line speed versus a twisty track and I think most of us have pretty much maxed out the one mile track. We need a longer track to really test the top speed of our cars. That being...

    Texas Miles

Just got back from my trip and this is the first chance I have had to read this thread. Awesome time you guys had and some great speeds. Congrats to Soroush and Jason for setting the top speed at the rally and a new one mile top speed record. The bar gets set higher every year.

Texas Mile: Any tips for first timers?

Jason you may be right but 220 is an awful big number to hit. The fastest GT I've seen at the Mile was Peaks twin turbo. He had a professional driver making several passes, a special ice tank mounted to his intercooler, lowered suspension, Hoosiers all around and none other than Jason Heffner...

Texas Mile: Any tips for first timers?

Not unless you have a special race tune that takes advantage of the higher octane. The main purpose of increasing octane is to prevent detonation, not add power. The power increase that race gas gives you is by allowing you to tune your car for higher cylinder pressures and different timing...
