I can help with number 3, I have the Whipple stock manifolds making 713 RWHP with a conservative tune :biggrin of 91 octane. I was concerned with all this ethanol BS. Derry

I did look at a bracket mounted off the chin spoiler and may still go that route but it had to be pretty wide to pick up good mounting points.

tow hook the car is on the garage lift and the forcast is rain for the next few days. After that I can measure it. I just thought someone might know. Keeps me busy during crappy weather.

In reply to later production being more robust, I did not find that to be the case. Last October I replaced them on my '06 after a couple of track days. They are since warped again. Just everday semi aggressive cruising:biggrin

FWIW, I had a Ford body shop trim and slightly modify the '05 grill to fit over the '06 and use several of the mounting points common to both. Works like a charm, easy to remove for track, looks stock either way. Derry

I have the Whipple, I have not tracked it yet but will in Late October I hope. PLENTY of low torque and no lag that I have noticed yet. A much gentler rolling on of the throttle is a must though. Easy to put sideways. Derry

There is no real choice but to accept and move on but I will stand by the statement that it is not logical. If the bad goup is that small, the odds of them being so spread out are statistically impossible. Also the odds of getting 2 bad bolts in the same flange in the same car are pretty high...

I realize that not being there I can have missed alot of the info given but I am a bit confused. Is it not true that bolts in various cars with hard and soft washers, both 05's and 06's failed, as well as a couple replacement service kits with hardened washers? As a fastener supplier to the OE's...
