I have had great luck buying parts from these guys but have heard some reports of them not having items in stock when they say they do. That said, I would be comfortable ordering if the salesman puts his eyes on the part. FYI

One thing about any of these valve stem caps that monitor tire pressure is that to work they open the needle valve when you screw them on. That means the only thing preventing a quick flat is the quality and integrity of the pressure indicator. Normally you have 2 systems, the valve and the cap preventing air loss. I will not use them on my vehicles and would never have them on the track. The ones I have seen are plastic and most are made in China. Just my $.02.

I have several sets that are free to any supporting forum member. Through them in my nuts and bolt can... Derry nailed it on the head.
For a street driven car, would the R6 provide longer tread life than the A6? Just curious as to the difference in compounds. I wonder if the autocross oriented A6 tires would by design have a shorter lifespan.

Each type of tire is optimized for the event they are made for. The major difference is during an autocross you need the maximum traction from the start and you don't run the tires long enough for them to heat them up. So the compound is softer cold and not made for high temperature use. On a road course the tire must endure a large temperature gains during the event, so the compound is adjusted to be consistant in grip and durable at much higher temperatures at the expense of less traction when cold.
It may be interesting to see for a 1/4 mile which tire is better. I would guess the A6 for sure if you don't heat up the R6 1st with a burnout.

That was exactly my next question. For an event like a standing mile, which would be better and are they both rated for over 200 mph?

My guess is neither tire is rated for over 200 mph. What company wants the libility. It is best to call Hoosier and get the written specs for both tires. None of the DOT specs go to a confirmed 200mph. Without confirmation from Hoosier, I would be reluctant in using either tire especially the A6. I believe the R6 has be used on a GT for the Texas mile with success, but a sample size of one is not verification of safe use and practice.

Since most autocross events don't go over 65 or 70 MPH max, I wouldn't an autocross tires to even do the 1/4 miles as our terminal speed could exceed 130. I've used A6's and Khumo's V710's on my GT3 and they last about 75 laps with each lap lasting about 1.1 to 1.2 miles. They wear out way too fast for constent street use.
