Jeff is a very nice guy that knew his product and our cars...and took the time to answer all my questions.. I would encourange anyone with concerns to call..changed my perspective..
It may be interesting to see for a 1/4 mile which tire is better. I would guess the A6 for sure if you don't heat up the R6 1st with a burnout.
My guess is neither tire is rated for over 200 mph. What company wants the libility. It is best to call Hoosier and get the written specs for both tires. None of the DOT specs go to a confirmed 200mph. Without confirmation from Hoosier, I would be reluctant in using either tire especially the A6. I believe the R6 has be used on a GT for the Texas mile with success, but a sample size of one is not verification of safe use and practice.That was exactly my next question. For an event like a standing mile, which would be better and are they both rated for over 200 mph?
