Who is up for a SoCal Cars, Coffee & Breakfast this Saturday May 3rd

I heard that there is going to be a GT there that recently went over 235 mph ....

Does it count if I did that over multiple trips in the same GT?

I'll be there tomorrow in my Land Rover, as it's Land Rover for the Marque of the Week. Although, free breakfast for driving a Ford GT - it's all so complicated...Choices...Choices...

Should be at least 10 historic Rovers and some modern ones there.

Here's a photo of me wading through a little water at Nightmare Gulch. Some very slick clay there, but fortunately I drove out unassisted, or else it would have been one soggy ride home...

C'mon R, you'll be soggy if you don't bring the black beast. Always a crowd favorite...

Fun little drive over from the cars and coffee show to the restaurant for breakfast.

I think the highlight was the glorious multiple GT symphony highlighted with flames coming out of Chris's new well tuned beast!

Audio Visual Perfection today was enjoyed by all.

Pleasure meeting old and new owners!

Don't follow Chris' car too closely, it will fry your clear bra.

Cool videos Bruce and Susanna.

For those that asked about my wading in the water with the LR3, here is a fun little video someone made of my first trip with the LR3 last year, I thought I would take the fun route and go through the water the long way...Kind of shows you how we feel about the stock tire traction.

Love your new tires - ordered my set today from Tire Rack, they partial ship from Delaware, since the other warehouses are now out of stock...

Yeah, boys, so let us know the verdict on the new tires. Enquiring minds want to know.

After we got together I headed down to the beach and took advantage of the free parking offer for all cars 43" and under:biggrin

Nice Meeting all of you today

Fellas,

It was nice meeting most of you this morning, I was the guy with the 67 Shelby GT500. After seeing a Heritage GT a few weeks ago at the Fabulous Fords show, I am hooked. I knew instantly I was screwed and had to have one.

I have spent a good part of the day researching GT's of all kinds. Solid color, no stripe, heritage cars, 1 of x etc... I have a few cars I have contacted owners on today, hopefully I will be an owner of a GT shortly. Trying to figure out how much mileage plays into value long term here. Seems like a 7k car goes for 20% less??

Great Videos by the way. I wish I had one of my GT500 laying rubber at 65 mph getting on the I-5, that was fun. Recently rebuilt 428 Police Interceptor.

Here is my GT500KR I just restored, I will bring it up there soon.

Welcome Mike,

Looking forward to seeing your restoration.

I like to strongly consider condition of the car, over mileage alone, even more so, with a manual only, high performance car.

I've got a 7K mile car (not for sale), with no issues, no accidents, no paintwork, bought new in the wrapper, with just 3.6 miles on the odometer when I took possession. It's never been valet parked or loaned out.

With anywhere from 10% (optimistic) to 30% (pessimistic) Ford GT's having potentially been in accidents, and my guess, a vast majority having a lot less than 7K miles, a solid Pre Purchase Inspection is likely a wise move. Car Fax is helpful, but not definitive.

Anyway, in my personal opinion, I like to focus on condition and maintenance, when looking at pre-owned cars. I like to think that my specific car, and others like it, wouldn't take a significant discount, on mileage alone, when their condition is considered.
