This has been a great thread and will remain so as further iinformation is shared

As for Motec Magic's comments; my skin is thick enough to accept his comments however I deal with them akin to water off a ducks back as that which he shared is "only" a very small selfserving portion of a very long story; a story that belongs between Motec Magic and myself because without my side of the story being shared his commetns are little more than interesting at best.

Thank you Ed for initiating the thread and for all that have read and replied within.

By all means Bill,

Please do tell your side of the story. I and I'm sure everyone else would like to know how you justify not paying a vendors invoice of almost $13,000 and label it as anything else other than theft.

The cliff notes are DA ordered custom exhaust systems from my business. Systems were built and shipped to Bill. The only issue was the first set manufactured had a flat flange issue... Jig was machined to compensate heat warping and set was replaced at no cost to DA. Bill requested additional O2 bungs and that was added. All following sets were good. DA will claim one set was improper length but DA mixed up two matching sets. DA accepted products, did not return products, installed products, charged customers for products, and did not pay our open invoice.

Please explain to me and everyone else here how this does not meet the deffinition of theft?

Tim, please contact Dave before deleting my post... He is fully aware of this situation and one of the multiple reasons the original ban was implemented.

All the best

I'm all for starting a new thread pertaining to this subject.
Anyone wanting detailed accounts of this issue can contact me via PM, email, or by phone 682-558-9275

I hate to see these type of things unfold on this site but before the mods pass judgement, I think it is necessary that I add: MoTeC Magic is my tuner and long time friend. I have never been in a situation where I felt deceived or mishandle by him where money was concerned. I know he doesn’t post much on here but he is very familiar with Ford GTs and this forum. Almost every technical post I have made on here stemmed from discussion with my friend "Fish”. Now about this post, I know some of the details but admittedly I haven’t asked Shadowman for details. Honestly because if I found any of it to be true I would feel obligated to be just as hostile about it as some of the other people on this forum. I have taken the democratic approach… don’t ask, don’t tell.

Fish's post was not appropriate for THIS thread. I don't really care about the details but rather WHERE the post was posted.

What do the last few post by Motec and Shadowman have to do with Ed's engine and dyno?

Maybe we should have a new section just for disputes. :ack

And was deep with solid performance engineering supplied by people that consistently win races and championships.

Title of this thread specifically calls it a "DA Engine" and sorry if I missed their long heritage of winning races and championships. Perhaps if the thread would have referred to this as an Mihovich-built, one-off monster, no eyebrows would have been raised.

I don’t have a dog in this fight. But when over time you keep reading similar problems from different people on different car forums and it’s about the same person/business. Caveat emptor. Again just for the sensitive types on this forum It's just my 2 cents

Probably not. Since no one has a axe to grind with John.

Unfortunately I will not be attending this years rally, but how about a peace offering. Why don't the parties that don't see eye to eye, have a drink on me during the Rally to smooth things over. I know it will be less than a handful of people, so send me the bill.

Clinton, can you buy me a few drinks, I need to forget about what I just saw - 3 occupants using an iPod, iPhone & iPad driving around in a BMW with a rainbow paint scheme.

Anytime you are in the area give me a call and I will gladly buy you a drink. Would you prefer we go with my BMW or Prius? :lol

Now that I'm back to the modern world after spending most of the last week in the wilds...

So here's my rationale for leaving this thread up:

Alot of guys have always said "Man, the Ford GT crowd is really different and full of cool guys" or "Ford GT Forum is so much better than forum X or Y." The reason for this is supposed to be because Ford GT guys are just cool car guys. They aren't out to impress people at the club, or show off a pile of cash, or get in stupid and useless pissing matches.

In the moderator log, I've taken 4,200 actions. Alot of them are just deleting posts from idiots. This thread shows the reality of what happens when I'm not here to babysit some of you jerks. It's a shame because a select few are RUINING what this site was for other people. I'm definitely not gonna lie and pretend like I've paid nearly as much attention to the site or emails related to it because it's the same bullshit over and over again. I know it's the same for some other people. I figured, meh, if this is what you want, have it. What drives me craziest is how you guys can't realize that Gang of Dickheads A doesn't get along with Gang of Dickheads B, and just stay the hell out of each others business. It's insane. You're like a bunch of petulant little kids that can't stop flicking each other, except the part where you're mostly rich old men that are supposed to be intelligent. Do you think there is a winner in this thread? The only winner is the guy smart enough to stay out of it (guess that makes me a loser now).

You know what the situation reminds me of?

A bunch of people that would have you believe they are the righteous that riot, loot and burn shit to the ground at the first chance they think they can get away with it. Everyone thinks it's all lowlifes until you find out it's really straight A students and junior olympians smashing TVs and burning cars just because they can. This begs the question, were you always really just lowlifes? Everyone always says they hate trashy forums until they get a chance to dive right in.

At any rate, I feel reinvigorated to kick some ass. If we lose 15 guys permanently, oh well. New guys buy GTs. Maybe those guys won't insist on being catty bitches. I can keep the site from being inundated with ads, I can keep the site from being overrun with trolls, but I can't make you not be a prick. If I have to get rid of you, double oh well. Stay out of each others business. Stop bitching at each other. Quit trying to play Forum Stratego with carefully worded posts attempting to bait people. The MFCEO is back and he has an itchy "Delete This User" key finger.

I felt like I should wait until a couple days before the Rally to post this. That way, if you have something to say, you can say it to my smiling cherub-like face.

*just as an addendum*

I would also like to add to Dave's post. Yesterday I spent a total of 2.5 hours reading, editing and monitoring posts, answering direct PM's, reading and answering numerous e-mails (and even phone calls!) all related to this thread alone. I am VERY busy.

Think of what a guy like Tim's time is worth, and ask yourself how stupid it is that he has to spend 3 hours a day refereeing in the schoolyard.

I would also like to add to Dave's post. Yesterday I spent a total of 2.5 hours reading, editing and monitoring posts, answering direct PM's, reading and answering numerous e-mails (and even phone calls!) all related to this thread alone. I am VERY busy. The moderators of the FGT Forum should not serve as referees in a school yard fight. The rules in my mind are simple, don't bash other PEOPLE using our space, do it elsewhere (drag strip, race track, or dyno -or in the court of law if you are so inclined) but not on the Forum. You may argue the engineering of a dyno, the mechanical engineering of an engine, etc., but don't drag your personal beefs with others into your posts. I don't have the time to police these things and our members have no business trashing each other online for the world to see, it's a poor reflection on all of us in this special community. Do everyone a favor, keep your personal grudges out of your posts. We only have three outside moderators in this Forum, we're all very busy guys. Please help us out and make our jobs easier by watching what you type here. Think before your fingers type the words. THANKS!
