Hi All,

I have ADV1 10.1's all around - did them 5-6 years ago with wider rubber (Michelin 345/30/20 in the rear and 275/35/19 in the front), IIRC.

The ADV's have a lower negative offset as well, so I got the wheels/ tires to push out a bit closer to get more flush with the top of the wheel well. It WAS the widest track I had of all my cars, but recently, I put my '16 Z06 on the lift I usually put my GT on, and with the wheels it just got, it now stands a good 1.75" wider in the rear, with the wheels being perfectly flush (and then some) with the top of the wheel well.

I just can't have that. My GT MUST be wider and tires more flush with the wheel well! ;)

Does anyone know if the hub / bolt patterns (front and rear) are the same as the Mustangs? I'm thinking 5 x 114.3 and 70.5 mm hub diameter?

Has anyone done it and if so, successfully?

This is what the Vette and GT wheel wells look like...

These guys have a pretty good selection of wider wheels. I'll be ordering a set of M600's for my GT350R when it finally arrives.

Thanks, but that's not really what I'm looking for. I was asking about bolt pattern hub and thread size. I already have a set of wheels; just want to get them out a bit more. I've done spacers on other cars and trucks...now it's time to do this one.

Joe:

Be careful buying wheels for the 350R. The diameter of the carbon wheel studs is larger than normal. A local 'R' owner was telling me his sad story of buying a second set of wheels for the track and they didn't fit over the studs! I don't know the details but check all the specs before buying.

I'm looking for a set for my 350R also. I let you know what I find. I've heard the Factory Carbon wheels are REALLY expensive.

I had the GT Guys make spacers for my front wheels. They provided the longer studs you'll need also. Call Rich.

This isn't terribly scientific, but I know I have seen a couple of S197 Mustangs out there with Front FGT wheels on.

My memory might be off, but I thought Chip Beck had a Mustang with FGT wheels on???

+1 on the studs. :cheers

I called Gorilla...and the rule of thumb is as much thread as the stud is wide (1/2"). I have 3/4" now and with an ET lug nut (which gets down another 8mm on the lug) and a 1/2" spacer, I will have the 1/2" I need, without having to change studs. I'm going with 1/4" spacers in front and 1/2" in the rear. I was trying to avoid changing the studs - been there done that on other cars. ;)
