What would you buy if you have multiple GTs?

I'm sure I'll be subjected to ridicule for this and truth be told there are very few modern supercars I don't like a lot but... go find someone with one of these, stand beside it, and ask him to fire it up. There is not a car on the list that will move you and turn heads more than this sound and beauty. Whatever it is you're driving, when I pull into the parking lot, the chicas are gonna walk away towards me :) Flame away lol!

After 2 GTs, if I want an unique toy, I'd get a Spyker ( and slap sc on it); for practical fun car, an Audi R8; for a GT car, a 599; or, for new technology, the McClaren or 458 or a-vent-a-door.

If you are tall (I am 6'5") you will find the R8 and 458 quite spacious. If you come to N Florida you can drive my 458 all you want to check it out. I had an R8 and really liked it. In stock form it doesnt touch the 458, IMHO though. Happy hunting.

I want a Mclaren SLR roadster if I'm spending real money. 458 is compelling, but F cars depreciate so badly when the next model is released. Enzo era f-car is compelling like a lusso or California swb.

There won't be a next SLR Roadster, but if you want to talk depreciation...my gun guy traded in his literally barely used SLR Roadster for over A QUARTER MILLION DOLLARS $$$ off sticker and the dealer that wound up with it has had it for an eternity. Talk about pain.

Also have a friend who lost fortune on an SLR.
458 should be pretty stable I suspect for next year. Same with Mclaren as wait still long for new ones.

My blue GT is shortly to be joined by a volcano orange McLaren MP4-12C. I ordered mine about 14 months ago, should arrive in March. I test drove one last month in Dallas and it is awesome! After the first 30 minutes of the drive the dealer asked what I thought of it? "seems a bit tame" I said, then looked at the speedo and saw that I was doing 125 through dowtown Dallas traffic. It is very deceiving. I need a really good detector/jammer system, otherwise I can see lots of tickets in my future.

Where else but here could you get such great advice from folks that actually own the cars. Ray probably has cars I have not even thought of.

Still not sure but I suspect if I get anything it won't be a third GT because I already have a Heritage and all I would be doing is adding color---but damn I like blue.

mclaren MP4. a supercar that can be a daily drive. of course you hear so much good stuff about the 458 as well but as nice as it drives, i believe it's true performance numbers of customer cars are not what is claimed by the factory or the magazine tests, so that's quite bummer for me.

I'm considering trading my Stradale for a 599 GTB. My two GT's are loud enough and the Stradale is also quite raw. Front engined V-12 is calling. Looking for something more daily driver thats easier to get in and out of.

I sort of think the SLR roadster is near its bottom and ready to climb again. I just love how they look. I agree buying a new one was a disaster. Seeing some coupes in the 250k range with low miles which is a 50% hit in depreciation that sucks for the original owner. Second buyer might be happy and up for some decent gains over time. Some might argue 100k over MSRP on a new FGT was a disaster too. My R8 V10 spyder will likely be laid victim to the same massive depreciation also. Glad I'm not trying to make money buying and driving cars. Buy it because you love it not to make money!

I agree, I just think the SLR Roadster when new crossed the line from "be happy driving your cars" to "hope you enjoy lighting money on fire!" You have to be really, really, really committed to enjoying a car to tolerate eating nearly $300k over 1500 miles. Ugh.

Had a turbo Porsche and loved it, best driver I ever had. Friend of mine has had many F-cars and believes his 458 is by far the best. Been a rider in the 458 and must admit it is very nice, however too many nanny tools. If price is not an issue the Pagani Huayra or Zonda would be my choice. Carrera is another good option.

Driving a Ferrari says "I have Money." Driving an Aston or a Maserati says "I have Class."

By the way, I don't have an Aston, Maserati or a Ferrari - so I guess I have no money and no class!

oh well....(I have a GT)
