What would you buy if you have multiple GTs?

For the money you apparently want to spend may I suggest the new Porsche GT3RS 4.0. Supercool. The uber Carrera and only 600 examples made.

No one else suggested this one so thought I would.

i just got an SLS. i've driven the 599 and i think the MB is the better and more fun car IMO. you should try it.

I test drove the MB SLS today. Car is a real hot rod. Comfortable although I'm 6'4". I am tempted to give it a try. Quite a few are out there with low miles, discounted off MSRP. Big question is how many will they build. Will the car depreciate like a stone? If in limited numbers, it may retain some value? I guess I'm spoiled since my reference point is the GT which has done pretty good for a car now 6 years out of production.

I did go look at a 599, but the one I was interested sold so all I could do was sit in it at the F dealer. There are tons of 599's for sale currently. Ferrari is about to unveil the new successor to the 599 and that will probably drive prices of 599's down further. They are going to follow the deprecation curve of the 550 and 575 IMHO. Speaking of depreciation, I was offered a pittance for trade in on my Stradale. 14K miles, pristine, serviced, never tracked. Lesson learned on modern mass produced Ferrari's. I think I'll sell it myself!

The other car I like is a Porsche Turbo S. Haven't been able to test drive one yet. A few 2011's out there. AWD, PDK etc.

If I had 1 GT I would buy another, and with 2 I am tempted to buy a 3rd. So in my never ending quest to determine just what it will take for my wife to divorce me, I am contemplating another car.

I am for the first time looking foreign . I have long been a Vette, Viper and GT guy. I am on a list for the new Viper but the 430 roadster and 458 have my attention.

Would you go 3rd GT , 430 ( save a few bucks over 458) or 458----OR other? Thanks

I like performance cars that perform economically as well. 430 is dropping like a rock, hasnt hit bottom yet, 458 is just falling off the cliff now. Viper will likelyu fall off the cliff too

A big attraction of the Ford GT is that it maintains its price well compared to other exotics, plus its American, and America needs help now.

Cant go wrong w 3 GTs :)

Which leads me to ask again, when you go up the PCH in your GT, where do you park when staying overnight?

I love driving my GT but I hate parking it where I can't keep an eye on it. I have had the experience of finding someone sitting on the fender of another I car I had when I left it alone. :frown

Okay, I know this is excessive but, I once had one of my employees meet me with my trailer at designated spots so that I can park the GT in it safely. I was paying for his daily wage so I said why not and he was very happy to oblige.

I have always said that upscale hotels should offer closed secure/alarmed garages much like they do for rooms. If you want to go nuts, then you can also offer for a fee access to a IP addressable camera so you can check out your baby anytime you want.

Actually, that all sounds very reasonable to me.

...and here I've always believed I was probably the only one who thought that way!
