What would you buy if you have multiple GTs?

If I had 1 GT I would buy another, and with 2 I am tempted to buy a 3rd. So in my never ending quest to determine just what it will take for my wife to divorce me, I am contemplating another car.

I am for the first time looking foreign . I have long been a Vette, Viper and GT guy. I am on a list for the new Viper but the 430 roadster and 458 have my attention.

Would you go 3rd GT , 430 ( save a few bucks over 458) or 458----OR other? Thanks

If I was you I would get something different. Get a 430 or 458 roadster. Or Carrera GT. or a lambo Murci LP640, or a Mclaren MC12. You already have two GT's. Why get three of the same? Other than color a GT is a GT. Lots of cool rides out there.....................

I could see having a Heritage to keep, and another GT to drive. Beyond that, I would rather play with 2 different cars, than have 2 of the same. I had 2 GTs for a short while and loved them both. Sold one some time ago.

Regarding the Ferraris - I obtained a lovely 458 coupe a few months ago. I drove it back to back 2 weeks ago with a friend's 430 spider. When I drove the 430 a few years ago, I was impressed. After driving it and my 458 immediately back to back, the difference between the 458 and 430 was pretty mind boggling to me. If you can spare the extra money, and want an F-car, would highly recommend the 458 over the 430.

As far as what else, the Mclaren should be amazing. I have one on order and will likely sell the 458 to get it. I have been recently smitten by the Carrera GT though. If I could fit in one, and price is right, might consider it instead.

If you choose not to get a 3rd GT (which itself is a good choice from the resale angle), I would stay away from the Ferrari, as it's quite a common exotic (unless you just want to be looked at). I think I would look at Aston Martins and Maseratis, both of which have quite luxurious appointments and supercar performances. They are not track cars as are the GT and Ferrari, but are very enjoyable to drive, give one a feeling of satisfaction, have luggage room for vacation trips with spouse or significant other, and are reasonable daily drivers. They are more exotic than a Mercedes, which is also a quite common car. Their downside (all of them) is their depreciation.

I sure have heard a lot of good things about the 458. I think I'd give it another 12 months for a few more 458s to hit the used market. If you like to put miles on a car, like me, then I'd definitely look at the Audi R8... the interior layout on the R8 is perfect (if you 5'10").

Gallardos are fun, but they will feel pretty slow compared to a GT. With turbos and AWD, lots of fun. LP560 is a fun car. I prefer it to the LP640. Aventador will take way too big a beat down to buy at this point.

I love the way pretty much every Aston Martin looks and they can be had very cheap. Not terribly exciting if you like driving hard. A convertible V8 Vantage would probably be wife approved.

I like the interior on the R8, which is plenty big for a guy your height, and it shifts as smooth as butter. Shifting it is a joy and the V8 makes a nice sound. V10 is probably more fun but doesn't sound as good. A really capable track car too. Feels like it's glued to corners. Exterior looks are a matter of personal preference.

I've never driven one, but I lust after a 911 GT3 RS.

And everyone says the 458 is the car to have. For the next 12 months you can get in and out of one without getting hammered. Performance speaks for itself. If you wanted to save a bundle over 458 and get a Ferrari people rave about 430 Scud would probably do the trick.

Not looking for another but if I was: 458, new Maclaren, or an Aston Martin. If I wanted to use as a daily driver then Porsche Cayenne S Turbo, new M5, or an R8.

Depends on its purpose. With 2 GTs and other raw cars how about a nice "GT" car? I like the R8 or SLS.

AFTER the FGT -

budget not an option - Carrera GT hands down

my current favorite for best driving car for fun factor and track (bearing in mind FGT is there for the real thing) - 458

close second - 430 Scuderia (But too slow if your wanting something fast and i put TT's on it which made it AWESOME)

best street racer and all around bullet proof car - Gallardo SL-TT or newer 560TT

best all around bang for your buck bad ass car - GTR

best convertible - i really like the 570 Performante... fun fun car even in stock form

best cruiser "GT" - 599

Old lambos are only cause you have always wanted one. Diablo is awesome but only because I have always dreamed of having one. It rattles, is slow and handles like a truck compared to the new cars. Bang for the buck is great though and the looks... awesome... everytime i drive it I am smiling like a two year old..

SLR - cool factor is great, rare, easy to drive, incredible technology - wouldn't be my first pick of the list.

R8 - like a really tame gallardo... fit and finish is awesome, styling not as much pop but maybe that is what you want. great driver. needs turbos and shift upgrade to be as much fun as gallardo but definitely more comfortable. no comparison to 458

If you want to bend over and take it up the ARSE when you are done, buy an Aston or a Maserati. Terrible Terrible resale. Might as well keep it till you die!
As for the others, the SLS is already dropping like ROCKS! 430s are a thing of the past. Might as well get a 360. LOL

Now, for the cool cars. 458 is super fun to drive. I have driven EVERYTHING, and I can drive pretty much anything I want at anytime as I have most of this stuff on my showroom most of the time, but the ONLY car I find myself wanting to drive home right now is the 458 and my SLR Roadster. Carrera GT is also SUPER badass as Ray said, but they are not very easy to get in and out of and you are a rather tall guy, so I dont think it would be for you.

I second that. Although I'm not a big fan of European cars, I recently drove a Carrera S and was surprised how much I liked it. It was a 6 speed and very engaging to drive. Now that the pain of owning my last foreign car, a JCW Mini Cooper, is a faded memory, I may try a Porsche. The GT3 RS is way cool.

You could always get a GT500 since you are such a huge Mustang fan
