What is the longest you have owned a car?

Technically, I do not own any cars, or anything else for that matter - our estate does. According to the government we are at the poverty level, but I have been giving food stamps and welfare some serious thought. If any of you GT owners benefit from Food Stamps and Welfare please let me know how satisfied you are - and if you are bilingual!

Home ownership is a myth; no one owns a home. It is rented, the rent payments being in the amount of property taxes. You also have to get permission from the real owner to do any modifications to your rental home in the form of a building permit.

The home was/is a different strategy altogether - can not discuss here, may be over a beer! No one can escape the property tax unless I convert the garage into a museum. If I did that I would have to showcase EP!

I've owned my 2002 NSX the longest of any car, I have it from new for 8years, plan to keep it and the GT for as long as I have room and the ability to drive them, NSX has 57,000 miles, and I got the GT end of June 2010 and put over 4,000 miles on it already. Can't wait for spring!!!!

I have not driven it basically because I have to many cars. But here's the story. I had another GT/CS at the time I bought this one. This car is a C code (289 2V) but had a 390 in it when I got it. The owner wanted the 390 back, so I pulled it and gave it back. I started to put a 427 in but found it was sold new here in Alaska. So then I decided to restore the car, got as far as painting it, but never reassembled it. A few years ago I decided to go back to the 427. Got it out and had a 55 Chevy crash into it, (in my garage) so I put it back in the corner and forgot about it. So there it sits. I think I have had it 33 years.

Here's how you attach photos:
http://www.fordgtforum.com/forums/faq.php?faq=vb3_reading_posting#faq_vb3_attachments

When you're done uploading the image(s) per the instructions, you can "Preview Post" to see if the photo shows up. When everything previews like you want it, hit "Submit Reply". It's pretty straightforward after you've done it once or twice.

'68 GTO convert. purchased in '89. Finished restoring it in 91 and have only put 7800 miles on it sense. I still love it however IMO old cars look better than the drive.

Sheep Sam Sheep! I swear William would screw up a one car funeral. Say, you didn't let him work on your home did you?

Hello Dennis. My son and I were just talking about you and your cool garage.

I've owned a 1975 Triumph T160 (3 cylinder motorcycle) for 23 years. I bought it for $800. It was in several boxes and I put it all back together with my future father in law in a weekend.

My wife won't part with her BMW 330i she ordered nearly 11 years ago. It remains her daily driver, and still looks brand new.

I have a friend here locally that has a 390 GTCS (lime green) with a similar story. The car has been sitting semi assembled and undriven for over 25 years.
