On 9/11/01 I had moved into a dearborn townhouse, had no tv or radio, and read on svtperformance that the US was under attack. 10 years later, I am in a new house full of boxes, no tv, no radio, and finally I read he is dead. Symmetry. I'm gonna use every dirty term to celebrate I can until my phone runs out of power!

- Shortly after, many of the US UAVs with strike capabilities were diverted to Libya. Timely don't you think?
- DC Inner circles reported that Gen Patraeus was not interested in a Chief of Staff position. Was he done in Afghanistan? Hmmm?
- Shortly after the word around some DC circles got out that Patraeus may be interested in a run for the White house, then the CIA position was offered. Hmmm again!
- Gates is getting ready to leave and then WH announced Pineta is replacing him as a Defense Secty.
I had a hunch something was up, but did not realize the bastard was gonna be eliminated.

I find myself more sad than happy about the news. Good riddance of the SOB, but I feel like its celebrating the death of someone who killed your brother. There is some closure, but we dont feel like things are all even Stephen now.
On another note, Osama's goal was to bankrupt the US, I hope we dont let him win in the end.
Either way, it is a message that we will find you in the end. Count on it. A big victory for our troops.

I would like to think that a US Navy Seal was able to look him in the eye and that the creature knew that its last moment on earth was coming.
I'm glad it's happened, but it does not, for me, come close to avenging the deaths of thousands of innocent unarmed civilians who were murdered in New York - that day is etched too deeply in our minds. The London bombings were very close to home for me and, again, this creatures death is good - but not enough.
And what a great friend we all have in Pakistan! They're trying to tell us they didn't know he was there? Right next to a major military building?! Yeah, right.
I suspect that the terrorists will want to make a major strike in some way to prove that they're still operational.
