Changed engine oil and filter. What's the washer in the kit for? Put the magnetic plugs in.
Changed S/C oi, P/S, coolants, brake and clutch fluids.
Cleaned K&N air filters, cleaned MAF
BJ and strut boots
Changed trans fluid and cleaned screen.
Installing a Ford trans cooler. The fittings in the case need to be different. Ford can't find a part number. Anyone have it or the size. Just guessing but is stock one 16mm straight to a -8? And now I need a 16mm straight to -10?
Belts look perfect. Change them because I have them and they're old or leave them because it's a waste of good belts and I'm lazy. Anyone EVER hear of a belt breaking on a stock set up with 12K miles?

Updating-cooler fitting is 16mm X 1.5 to -10
A steel fitting is unobtanium. I went with a Fragola black anodized and an aluminum gasket instead of the stock copper gasket. The ID of the stock(no cooler) fitting is .313", the Frag is .336". Looks like plenty of meat left, shouldn't break unless the R engine mount breaks and, well, if it does I've got other problems!
From 1 pic I've seen it looks like the factory "w/cooler" fitting is blue anodized aluminum too.

Shout out to Ford
I'm pretty sure you could have put one more pulley in there!

Thanks, We've enjoyed living here in a smaller town environment as compared to some of the "Big City" places we've lived in.

PeteK, the wheel swap - it's a bit of a workout, probably not something I'll be doing on a regular basis. I do it myself, since I'm not sure I trust wheel shops with air tools or jack point selection.

Fifteen years ago 3/14/2006 Delivery Day. 3:20P.M. The first time I sat in a Ford GT. And it was mine.

This guy had lots of seat miles in my 2005 FGT...rallies, car shows, or just driving around. Sadly, he had to be put down two days ago due to widespread cancer. We had 12 great years together. I’m going to miss my navigator dearly.

Dang, that's sucky. In our household it's cats: We started with three 21 years ago, and we still have the last one, Cali ... 21 years old, and she's really showing it 😕

Sorry to hear about your navigator!

This month I put new tires on (due to age not wear), Ahlman shocks, and an alignment. She's in top shape now!

Went to a local Food Truck car club gathering and found another use for masks. Enjoyed a delicious Connecticut Lobster sandwich from the Cousin's truck.

Keeping that shift knob under 200 degrees on a hot day! Avoids getting branded with the 6 speed shift pattern on your palm.

Hard to beat the sound of the '05-'06 Ford GT supercharged V8. Always a fun drive.

My idea to keep shifter cool.... + it has a good use when turned the other way at times

I forgot to mention: I put Scott Ahlman’s shock/springs on my car a few weeks ago before I took it to Ridge Motorsports Park. As advertised, they gave a big improvement in handling in the track.
I’m playing with the adjustments for street use now, and will provide more feedback later, but I can say that putting them at the soft end of the settings makes the ride on real-world streets much smoother. I wouldn’t call it “plush” but it’s definitely smoother than the stock dampers.
And it’s really easy to change the adjustments!

I see you've got the 4 glue blobs coming thru too ... proof of authenticity, I suppose. Rich B removed them from mine to perfection before delivery, but they're creeping back. Decided I don't care. It's a GT thang 🍻
