I’m going to post up some distinct differences between the Mk II and the road car. The foot wells expose a lot of tech in the Mk II. The 5 way DSSV dampers and air jacks are fully visible in the foot wells on the MK II. Neat display of the technology.

Makes me want to start ripping panels out of the street car to expose the shocks (yes I know the MKII's are different).

Thanks for posting those pix!

Here’s the engine bay...road car vs Mk II. The Mk II has no CF shrouding. Naked. The rear shock dampers are visible. Oil tank is same as the road car. All business back there.AFE9570E-2109-423E-B507-0ED49C4267E7.jpegE8B8A4A8-10A5-49BD-8326-436F8DEBF890.jpegE485E0F5-965D-4E1E-9202-78877B58125F.jpeg01167A35-9CC0-49B9-9C34-B4D19BB4EDDC.jpegBD939619-22CA-4E18-9931-0AD095CEB671.jpeg

Exactly. No rear view glass. Just a big air intake! The Motec system displays a rear view cam. On track you can toggle to that screen and/or check your side mirrors. The windshield is stock and has the mount for a rear view mirror.

Car is finally running like it should!!! Only took the dealer 3 1/2 months to figure out how to fix the electrical gremlins!!!

Ajai, did Multimatic send a delivery specialist from Canada with the Mark II to go over the car on the track with you at delivery?

I just noticed in the picture above that Shelby himself does not project a shadow and you do. Which one is the vampire? No wonder you do not have a mirror in the new car.

Please keep doing this comparison. Very cool stuff.

I got the car out to my local road course, Motorsport Ranch, last Friday. Did three sessions building pace gradually. I had some friends drive out my 2005 and 2018 FGT‘s for a photo shoot. Here’s a quick iPhone movie I put together.

Very cool, congratulations!

No delivery specialist this time. Unfortunate product of the “covid times”. I think anytime someone comes from Canada to the US, they have to go home and quarantine 😂. I got the owners manual PDF sent to me. Pretty straight forward stuff.

Aero on the FGT Mk II vs the FGT. The front splitter on the Mk II is massive. The street car has an active aero system including the air channels up front and the deployable wing. The Mk II has a biplane fixed rear wing and air extractor vents on the front body work. The wing sticks out way behind the rear of the car. The diffuser also sticks out a mile. Gotta be careful closing the garage doors 😂3F423F1F-EF8B-4AE9-9AD8-7A3D203C43F7.jpeg7545304A-7100-41D5-BAA2-798F17DBAD3A.jpeg9AC2A287-5A8E-4B99-B41B-0C900638B366.jpeg42B1FDDB-616E-4F43-8D51-19169106B600.jpeg

Some other subtle aero differences. The street car has a cut out for the bottom of the door. There’s a CF panel under the door on the Mk II.70FF8FF4-411C-4E2D-B0F5-0066A9D0CF1B.jpeg087C6CF1-F46F-4C36-8508-2ED373454BBB.jpeg
