But the wife didn't work, and we could have steaks 3 times/week, and still save money from each paycheck - taxes and expenses were so much lower then, but of course everyone worked and we weren't paying a lot of welfare. People worked and were responsible for themselves, and gave to charities without all the Madison Avenue prodding (which of course paid their salaries, too). I would have ordered the Shelby GT350, except we were expecting 1st child.
In other words, Life was GOOD!
