I will be taking my GT and Gallardo and will be running Friday-Sunday. We have one of the last pit places (around the 3/4 mile mark) I believe.

Stop by and say hello. Can't miss me I'm the short guy with a mullet haircut and MULLET license plate on the GT.

I've had my hotel reservations for over a month.

Anbody going should make reservations now. There is a very limited number of hotel rooms available in Beeville which is the closest place to stay.

I'd like to go this year as well... but I'd be driving my car from North East Texas down to Beeville... maybe just spectating or perhaps making an easy (if there is such thing) run down the track.... and then driving home.

Can anyone give me the skinny on the schedule? Maybe arrive on Friday, run on Saturday and watch for a while on Sunday and then hit the road for home?

Saturday is the busiest day. There was almost a 2 hour wait to make a pass the last time they did it.

Sunday - you can pretty much hotlap the car.

Friday - I think this is new and last i heard, they wanted to make sure there was enough interest before confirming Friday.

I am fairly sure they will have a Friday. They took my $300 fee which is $100 more than just the Sat/Sun fee. Also, the dates on their site shows Friday.

Just a little advice if it's your first time down there.

Run as early as you can. As the day wears on, the temps go up but more importantly, the headwinds increase. That's what really affects your speed.

You'll usually have done your best speed of the day by noon. You can hang it up and enjoy watching everyone else the rest of the day. If you want to try to go faster, try again the next morning. Otherwise, your just beating on your car for nothing.

the nicer place in Beeville (Best Western or something like that).

I sent a email to the Mile people letting them know they can use either my Gt or Gallardo on the show if they want. Would be nice for a little camera time.
