So you will have to buy the back plate as well as the speedo if all you need is the speedo then you will also have to get the tach to work with the round hole.
I like the looks of the larger diameter { OEM } speedo much better

Thanks guys, I'm glad you like our project. Those are pics of the dash in my car and the gauges are working perfectly. Speed Hut has been great to work with and I would encourage anyone with questions to contact them directly. I

I'm at a race this weekend in TN, back home next week and will answer any inquiries once I return.

Btw...It's great to have my FGT back on the road again.... thanks to Speed Hut.

Looks great. I almost want to order the complete replacement set even though all of my stock gauges are currently working.

Awesome job by all of those involved. I would like to see some sort of scale on the amps gauge. Silver bezels on a black backplate are essential to retaining a relatively close OEM appearance. I plan to replace all gauges ($1785). Didn't see anything on I/P illumination. Color, interface with OEM brightness controller? Etc.?

Sorry no pics, I'm on an iPad.

From the site:

Ford GT dash
We are proud to announce indash OEM factory gauge replacements for the Ford GT! These exciting new gauges will be direct plug-n-play to the Ford wiring harness and require no additional sensors or wiring!

Speedhut will be offering these new gauges individually or as an entire replacement kit. A replacement aluminum panel, available in black or silver grained powder coat finish, replaces the factory panel to hold your new GT gauges. This new aluminum dash panel is a direct OEM replacement fit to the Ford GT dash.Easy gauge plug-n-play works with the factory Ford wire harness. Each gauge is ONLY 1.1" deep for easy installation in the Ford GT dash.
One of the exciting features of the gauges is the included warning light that will light up a bright red color to indicate potential engine trouble or a low fuel indication. The tachometer has 5 integrated, bright LEDs, that light up at a user setable shift point.

Just like all our gauges, YOU will be able to customize these new Ford GT gauges to the colors and bezel style you would like at no extra cost!

Ford GT Gauges List price
Speedometer $225.00
Tachometer with Shift Lights $265.00
Boost $190.00
Oil psi. $190.00
Volts $190.00
Water temp $190.00
Fuel level $190.00
Aluminum Dash insert (silver or Black) $120.00

Great find at great prices, but unless I missed somethng, I don't think we're out of the hole yet guys. You won't be able to use Kip's CF panel or the standard factory panel with these gauges, at least not the tach and speedo ? So if your speedo and/or tach go out and you want to use theirs you have to use their AL dash panel. Their AL dash panel may be a direct replacment of the standard panel as far as length and width but not the same size hole sizes for the tach and speedo as the original or Kip's CF panel. You're almost "have to" get the whole set with the AL panel to keep everything matching.

Might be worth buying a whole set and changing them over so as to preserve the stock OEM parts. This way you can always have a functioning batch of OEM guages if needed. Also it is a nice change up.

Can you get the back/mounting plate in black? It seems the glare would be less.

They show the black dash panel at the Speedhut web site from the first post. But not the silver bezel yet. I too would like to see what they look like when lit up at night.

Just had a long conversation with the guys at speed hut. Here is what I got:

1) Silver bezel will be made available. In fact the full gamut of options on their site will be available
2) A larger Speedo 4 1/2 is available. Although they suggested that it looks a bit odd because the tach was sized down, a larger speedo doesn't visually fit.
3) The gauges are ready but the dash is probably 2-3 months out.
4) They believe the Autometer failure was due to a voltage spike. They could not comment on whether their unit would withstand the same condition but the did say that their hardware has a lifetime guarantee. They will replace any hardware failure for free.
5) Dial plates are replaceable so you can try something radical. If you don't like it, the dial can be changed for $25-$45

I'm in a for set.

It will still require that we get Kip to make a new carbon plate for the new gauges. The shape of the tach necessitates a new plate. Also, even their "larger" speedo is about a 1/4 smaller than the stock speedo. It will just slip thru the stock plate.

btw, they make a GPS calibrate speedo that goes to 260mph.

Hello all... I'm back home from a long race weekend in Tennessee.

It seems our FGT gauge project is being well received so far.

The gauge illumination looks awesome after dark, gauge faces are back lit and also uses
an LED to emit a red glow from the pointer. It looks very cool.

I have some pictures of mine at night but they're kinda' blurry because of the reduced shutter
speed when taken without a flash. I'll try to shoot another better one with a (camera)tripod mount asap.

If you want to see the night illumination pics, send me an email and I'll send a pic or link over
for you to check out.

I believe the smaller speedometer could easily be used in the OEM dash with the help of a
thin adapter ring to act like a big washer. Not sure if they'll make that an option but
it would not be to hard to fabricate.

Really the only reason to change the dash panel is if the tach is being replaced.
