Well the day has finally arrived
Now before I fill in the blanks I need to share a few things that in the end will likely mean very little.
I shared from the onset that I have been behind the scenes with the knowledge of the project for many months and then finally a couple weeks ago I was presented with a first run sample for me to critique. Well I also shared that out of the can I was all smiles and then as I assembled the system which only took a few minutes i was even happier.
Will these ultimately be for everyone; no and yet for those that enjoy and appreciate extremely well made and designed cool boutique pieces this will be akin to a “Home Run”.
I have remained in communication with the team responsible for the designing and ultimately the creating of these systems nearly every day since I made the initial post discussing whether the manufacturing of them would be viable and if yes how best to present them and then at what price point. Then add to this I was also awaiting Bony’s opinion as I shipped him one of the first run samples because I wanted to make certain that how I felt was also felt by another and his comments today confirmed my feelings and this ultimately became the final component needed for me to sign off on this project.
Now as with many other items over the past couple years I anxiously and relentlessly will at times create and other times simply get behind and help to present something of another’s that I feel is of the caliber that complements our gals; this is one such piece.
Having shared this let me be very clear that I have no financial gains to be derived if one elects to purchase these systems and yet as I have demonstrated through the numerous PM’s and emails that I have responded to, I remain committed to assist all that ask.
So what is the deal; what a crappy phrase.
The key and remote fob sets will be available either as Ford GT or GTX-1. Now I know that many have asked about alternate colors however for a variety of reasons they will only be available in silver; in fact the same color as the interior trim on all of the gals. The two primary reasons are as follows;
1. IMO if these sets had been presented by Ford I suspect that they would have all been a solo color as well as a recognizable symbol of these extremely unique gals; case in point would be Ferrari, Lamborghini, etc which each have a unique key and yet regardless of the gals color they are all the same color and style.
2. The second reason has to do with the fact that these are truly to be limited production boutique pieces as such the mere idea of opening up Pandora’s box by offering a variety of color options would have insured chaos
In any case, by design these systems can be custom painted and or airbrushed on a personal level as I know of at least one of the initial sample pieces to which this was done and certainly it adds yet another personal touch however I dare say that for those of you that elect to purchase them upon your opening of the cool can that they will be packaged in that you will be extremely happy; this is one such case where the pictures tell the story however do not do them justice because up close and personal they are even cooler.
As of last week the initial production was confirmed pending a formal signing off on the project. The orders will be filled on a first come first served basis with tracking numbers furnished as they ship so that to a person you can monitor your early Christmas gift. I have been told that the initial pieces will ship within only a few weeks with total fulfillment to be no more than 5 weeks.
