+1My only concern is if this is metal, will it affect the range (operation and effectiveness) of the remote?
My only concern is if this is metal, will it affect the range of the remote? I tried a billet case on mine and it wouldn't work at all.
I wanted to quickly address this concern; fire away as i will answer all questions and concerns.
The fob and key cases are made of the same material as OEM as such there is no loss of signal with the remote and no issue with the chip within the key; simply stated, the systems all operate as if OEM in fact the system aka cases appear as if it is OEM inside and out. All of the moisture sealing grooves etc were designed into the new pieces as well.
Because of the interest shared I am working to carry this process to the point that all that are interested will be able to access them.
I feel that the system is very cool but hearing similar comments has been a wonderful thing.

Thanks for the response Bill. Being of the same OEM material, these should work like a charm. They look fabulous too, in fact, they really look like metal in the pictures! I would keep the color silver as is.
Shadowman,
Is the case painted silver, or is it a silver material throughout? Curious about wear over time.
First of all I need to clarify that the pieces are an ABS composite which is stronger than the OEM shells.
Now having shared this the pieces are painted and then clear coated as such can be waxed at the same time your gal is waxed.
The durability testing has shown no issues however if you drop your keys then the risk of a chip is there.
