After the spectacular success of Rally to the Rally II and Rally to the Rally III, we are doing it again! Chip and Veronica will be hosting Rally to the Rally IV. Members driving or trailering their GTs from all points in the Western United States are invited to rendezvous with us in Scottsdale, Arizona anytime from Saturday, October 10 until we depart early morning Monday, October 12. Our host hotel, the Marriott Old Town Inn Suites provides separate secure underground parking for your GT. (Don't call them for reservations yet until I have secured the killer good guy rate) Dinner on Saturday, October 10 will be at Trader Vic's Restaurant. Lunch on Sunday, October 11 will be hosted by Chip and Veronica at their home and catered by Honey Bears Barbecue. At last year's lunch we had 56 Ford GTs parked out in front of our house!! The UPS delivery man is still talking about it! Below are some pictures from last year's lunch at our home. Following lunch there will be a short convoy to a special event. You will have time to return to the hotel and freshen up before our convoy to Don & Charlie's Restaurant for dinner. Separate, secure, guarded parking will be provided for Ford GTs at all events.
It is exactly 995 miles from Scottsdale to Austin, Texas. At 7 a.m. Monday morning October 12, our GT convoy will launch for Fort Stockton, Texas, 695 miles away. Hotel and restaurant accommodations in Fort Stockton will be prearranged. This will leave a relatively short 300 mile drive from Fort Stockton to Rally headquarters in Austin, Texas where we will arrive on Tuesday, October 13 at check-in time. Our GT convoy will be broken into two groups, those trailering their cars, and members driving their GTs.
As they have been for the last two years, the GT Guys will be setting up shop here in Scottsdale for three days so that members can get their vehicles serviced and modifications performed prior to getting to the Rally. You won't want to have your car tied up during the actual Rally if you can help it. This would be a great time to get that new exhaust system, bumper delete, short shifter, carbon fiber goodies, an oil and filter change, or whatever else you might have in mind. Nobody knows your car better than the GT Guys! This is your opportunity to have the same gentlemen who built your car originally, service and/or modify your GT. And hey, is there anybody you would rather have inspect your car before you drive it 200 miles an hour at the Texas mile?
Finally, our forever Moderator Emeritus, Daniel Bonyhadi, will be with us at all events as he has never missed a Scottsdale Rally to the Rally. Boney's ashes will ride with me in my car, or with DBK in his car if he can make it, all the way to Austin.
Your work week is going to be shot anyway, so join us a couple days early for our gathering of the faithful. I guarantee all participants a great time, a spectacular party, outstanding food, and legendary camaraderie. This will be your final opportunity to enjoy a Maker's Mark Manhattan at the Teddy Roosevelt Bar with Bony.

Okay, our hotel arrangements have been finalized at the Marriott Scottsdale Suites Old Town. I have arranged a killer good guy rate of $109 per night (normally $199 per night). This hotel provides our group with separate, barricaded, and very secure underground parking. You can sleep well at night knowing that your baby is out the weather and out of sight. Guarded parking will be provided at all events. In order to guarantee our group rate you must call Marriott's Reservations Department at 1-800-228-9290 and tell them you will be attending the Ford GT Rally over the nights of October 10 and 11 at the Marriott Scottsdale Suites Old Town, 7325 E. 3rd Ave, Scottsdale, Arizona, 85251. If you have any difficulties I can be reached on my cell phone at 602-430-4877. This is a very nice hotel with a great bar and restaurant situated in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale.
