Veronica would like that too. Perhaps we can put instructors in every ladies car that wants one and they can drive the track without somebody coming up from behind at warp speed. Veronica told me that if Thomas Mutsch is her instructor she would probably just drive him back to the hotel with her!! :ack
In any event, I think that's a great idea. I'll ask V to coordinate with Francesca arranging a few womens activities. All the best.

Sue will be riding with Veronica and Thomas Mutsch back to the hotel. He is fairely good looking for a race driver!. Matech needs to bring the girl drivers to Rally VI. Tomy

After my wife saw the Matech car go buy me like he was going to meet the hat guy, her enthusiasm for actually driving on the track quickly evaporated.

That won't be happening - the ladies from Matech part!... The ladies are no longer in the employ of Matech.

My favorite picture in the museum is Picture 1. One of the 7 GT40 Mk III cars is also there - Picture 2 - we saw one of its sisters at the Peterson Museum at Rally II.

Sounds great and we'll sign up. I have never told Arlette she can not drive the GT, indeed have tried several times to get her to drive it, yet she never has. BUT, she said a ladies track time w/instructor sounds good.

I grew up there. Good State, current advertizing motto "Utah: The State of Sport" Was there last weekend with the Viper Owners Event, perfect weather, excellent track, enough to do in the night life arena.

Having attended Miller for the first time at the Fast Pass, I can say with all certainty that this is an awesome idea!!!
We flew into Salt Lake City Sunday morning after the rally to check out the SCCA Speed World Challenge race and Viper VOI... quite the extreme after VOI the previous day :biggrin

Already picking a route, scheduling time off and looking at things to do in the area. Lot of great roads in the mountains worthy for driving the GT. Is Bonneville Speedway west on I-80 the famous salt flats speed track?
I have a TON of road routes I've already done in the area. Most of them are too far for the Rally, but if you stayed a couple extra days, I've got routes between 200-450 miles I've done previously I can give you with hotels you can stop at.
I've crossed the salt flats many times but this year was the first year I crawled out onto them. I think we'll actually be there the week after speed week. I went out at 5 mph because the salt was still slightly damp, and I'm gonna say "not doing that again". I washed my car three times within 24 hours out of paranoia, and I still had residue in the wheel wells when I got home. Still, it made for some sweet pictures.

I'm not sure what the rental situation is but I will check. They have always been open for the day when we go so maybe that's included in the rental.
