Rally 12 Photos

DBK's GT obviously, JAXGT/Mitchell with Ed Simms as passenger, GKW05GT/Gary with wife Donna and 07XL0027/Chris in those photos.

Memorable day for sure, the film crew was very entertaining to say the least.

That's Cody, Chris, Zack around Henry.

I like these guys. Sat at our table at closing dinner. Sharp, sharp guys. Can't wait to see more. We would be lucky to get them for another GT event because they WILL be moving up.

Great photos... We had a fantastic time visiting with old and new friends. Looking forward to wherever Rally 13 takes us all. Thanks to Dave and all that helped on Rally 12!

As part of never ending Continuing education, we were introduced to this! LOL!

As info, funicular is a derivative from the Latin for "rope".
However, I do not think this was a true funicular but a "powered incline". A true funicular requires that both the top car and bottom car are connected so that gravity helps lift the bottom car as the top car proceeds downward.
Although called "inclines", both the Duquesne and Monongahela inclines in Pittsburgh PA are true funiculars.

Great photograph. I can see the air flowing around and through the GT.

True enough. But the PR guys couldn't sell enough rooms using "rope" or "incline".

The funicular railroads on the Parsenn in Davos, Switzerland, run by simultaneous trains going up and going down. Powered incline is probably more correct for Deer Valley, unless each train depends one each other to go up and down. I don't think so at DV.

The funicular has a car coachwork connection.

I like Angie's version best - "funky-later"

We put the Fun in Funicular.....

"distinguish the arrival experience" that's an understatement upon arriving Sunday night, 4 of us, with luggage for a week, and a rental car. There was NO ONE anywhere to be found. Finding the lobby once up at the top, continued the fun.

The novelty of the funicular wore off VERY quickly.

I agree. You should see how much fun it is during peak ski season and one of the breaks down. I love the hotel, but wish they would let you drive up that side of the mountain.
