HHGT - as I stated in my first post, the only info that I summarized was what had become 'Public Domain' due to approx page 16 of the formal Bankrupcy proceedings. It was summarized in the WSJ by a good reporter who had dug thru all the records that were made PUBLIC by Judge Gonzales.
That is also why I did not answer any of the other detailed questions ..and I am sure many more to come.
We did have a NDA with Cerberus and we did not discuss any of those details. So, the only items I summarized was from Bankrupcy public domain. I wanted to share with my fellow GT and the Many Viper owners on the forum. As you probably also know on Friday May 29 FIAT put the Viper Assets into the 'good' vs 'bad' category (VIPER had been a 'bad ' asset for the past 9 months.) So when Gonzales approved the sale to FIAT on Sunday May 31 pm, it now includes VIPER. We have no idea what they plan to do with it but are monitoring carefully. I hope this all makes sense....

Nardelli says there was "no bidder" for Viper:
http://www.autoweek.com/article/20090610/VIDEONEWS/906109981
His comments were corrected to: "there were no bidders since the bankruptcy filing, and the bids prior to the filing were not acceptable".
Looks like Viper will be having an Italian Connection soon.
Nardelli is such a 'credible' guy. I wonder where his resume is headed next. I wanna short that stock.....
Sadly, I assume they are just going to squash the Viper.
If so, why would Fiat have moved Viper into the "good assets" bin?
I am thinking that either they think they can get a better price for "Viper" once they stabilize the company or they realize how important it is to have the perception that you have a true sports car to put in the magazines for the trickle down effect it has to the other models sales. Tell me the average joe doesn't drool over the Viper while he is buying his mini-van or sedan.
