I did the Death Ride...around 1983! Back then it was the Markleeville Death Ride. Wish I still had the t-shirt. Skeleton riding a bike. We stopped in Markleeville today. Looks pretty much like it did 30 years ago.
I did the eath ride in 1999. I recall driving the GT up those passes a few years ago wondering how I ever got up on a bicycle. Beautiful part of the world!
