We told you so.......

Ed, If I had taken everyone's advice and put ETrack in the trailer, I'd be doing more unloading for photo ops. :lol

Are we getting excited yet????
I sure am !
I have these fleeting thoughts occasionally.
Isn't this adult stuff great!
Especially GT stuff!

We unloaded the GT in Albuquerque and burned a tank of gas on New Mexico byways to Santa Fe and back. Took the Turquoise Trail (NM 14) north, with a detour up Sandia Crest. Fantastic curves and switchbacks to over 10,000 ft elev. Took in the Georgia O'Keefe Museum, lunch on the Plaza, and finished with a detour to Tent Rocks Nat'l Monument, well off the beaten path on Native American reservation. Bonus...cheap 91 octane on the res...no Fed taxes I guess.

On Sandia Crest.

Who remembers this classic Lowell George tune, perhaps made more popular by Linda Ronstadt's cover?

I've been from Tucson to Tucumcari
Tehachapi to Tonopah
Driven every kind of rig that's ever been made
Driven the back roads so I wouldn't get weighed
And if you give me: weed, whites, and wine
And you show me a sign
I'll be willin', to be movin'

Bless you Linda. We will miss you as much as we remember your sweet voice.

Yes you did. And, it's not that I didn't listen. Etrack will be installed in due time. This is my first trailer, and, when I get home from the Rally I will have hauled the GT 9,100 miles since June. The stock trailer set up is fine. It just takes a few minutes longer. Front straps through the wheels and, if I get the car well-centered in the trailer, the rear straps go around the LCAs, which is really fast and easy. Unloading for photos is just not something I'm inclined to do in clean clothes on 90+ degree days...unless, of course, Heather is involved.

The second to the last photo, the close up of the car with the rocks behind it...which camera was used? Stunning photo.

I mostly use a Nikon D60 that I've had for a while...it's what I use for product photography...but I wouldn't mind an excuse or two to upgrade! I'm just hoping you don't say it was taken with the HTC! LOL

Canon. You could do the same with your Nikon by shooting raw files and post-processing in Adobe Lightroom (or Apple Aperture if you're a Mac guy). The key is a properly exposed and composed raw file, which initially will look flat. The pop comes from developing the raw file in the software.

Honestly, I could have done that photo with the HTC One, but only for screen resolution, not for large printing. What the phone cam can't do is sharp subject and blurred background.

Thank you for the compliments! :)

I've never played with the RAW files. Maybe I should check that out. I am a Mac dude as of the last 2 years. After 25+ years of PC's, I joined the Dark Side. I love my Mac's.

haha! I've used Photoshop since V4 in the 1990s, and Lightroom since V1 beta, but with the latest version of Lightroom (V5), I will only need Photoshop for very specialized work.
