Eventually you will have to take the mark of the beast on your forehead/right hand or your car will not start. It is called OBD666

When you ask the government to take care of you, you will be giving up a lot of your freedom.

What are the odds my wife will accept this previous story as a “good reason” to buy another car?

What angers me is these reporters don't name the individual who wrote this into the law. The government, Congress, DOT, etc. doesn't do anything. Neither does "they" do anything. It's some individual doing it and we need to identify that person by name. Institutional anonymity breeds very bad behavior which has been proven by many social studies.

My daughter's suv may need a transmission. Place that rebuilt it before she bought it for 2500 now says 7200 and they won't rebuild this one only do rebuilt

Regarding the Speed Limit proposal
the author is CA State Senator
🤬 Scott Weiner-San Fransisco.

Sounds like a lot of "what if" fear mongering!
I remember how upset people were when seat belts were mandated, motorcycle helmets, etc.
Let's stay calm and see what actually comes out and then if it is really a problem, address it...

I hope you are correct. Appears this California lunacy is creeping into all of our lives instead of staying in California.

I'd go to another shop, unless there's 100k miles on the trans they built, then yes, they should start over.

Maybe, by holding the patent, they aim to prevent other entities from developing and using this type of technology. You know, to protect our freedoms.

I wish that were the case but if you watch other videos on this matter you will see that they are focused on catching speeders. The cameras on a Ford can be used to prosecute a speeder in another car passing by the ford even if that car is a car made in the 60's with a carburetor and no seat belts, no gps, no computers or cameras. A.J. Foyt was right when he said that computers should not be allowed on indy cars and on passenger cars too.

F.O.R.D. is apparently now an acronym: "F*****g Over Real Drivers."

My reply: "F*** Off, Restrictive D***s!"

I am hoping someone develops a way to defeat this uploading of data.

You can disable the data connections from your vehicle. At least in my 2021 F150 I can.

Using the Ford app on my phone, On my 2022, Bronco, you have to redo that every time you start the vehicle, so I am not even convinced it ever gets disabled Permanently.

Nissan does the same in my 400Z, selling car. They still are taking data even though they say they are not... I get random emails stating this.. I will nevr buy another Nissan. Love the Darkhorse I am driving, just need to Whipple it this winter..

Both my 2019 F150 and 2024 5.0 have the telematics modem fuse removed. You won’t be able to use Ford App to start your car etc, but it will not snitch on you.
