Hello everyone. I am the proud owner of a 2006 Ford GT, Tungsten Gray, four option car with 6900 miles. I purchased it about eight weeks ago and absolutely love it. After meeting Brian (stormcat) at the September Palm Breach Cars and Coffee, I was able to get many of my questions answered. I can't think Brian enough for the many text and phone calls since that meeting.

I live in South Alabama near the gulf coast which is a long way from a Ford GT specialist as far as I am aware. One thing I love about this car is that with the help of others and information on this forum, I am able to work on it myself. A friend, who is a performance shop owner, and I installed the Heffner exhaust, pulley, and tune last week. I felt like I took one hundred bolts and parts off the car to remove that muffler but It wasn't really too bad in retrospect. The enjoyment of the car multiplied several times after that. The sound alone creates so much engagement. I then followed the advise provided on this forum and changed the tires to the bridgestones.

I am proud to be a Ford GT owner. While I absolutely love my Porsche GT3 Touring, the Ford has become the most fun to drive. It is just a very special car. I took it over to Pensacola Cars and Coffee this past weekend and it was a huge it. This coming weekend it will go on the dyno at a local shop event. I am curious to see how that turns out. I have floor mats and the aluminum seat rings on order.

I look forward to continuing to drive and enjoy my GT.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Are we twins???
I have a 1) Tungsten Grey, 2) have a house right down the road (Perdido Key), 3) have the Heffner exhaust with pulley/tune and 4) Bridgestones.
I do not have the GT down there yet (I live in North Carolina) but the more settled I get down there...the more likely we can go cruising.

Congratulations. Although your announcement was a little bitter sweet. For 12 years, I was the only Tungsten/Silver in the area and now there are 2 and sounds like soon to be 3 with Tomcat's Tungsten/Silver. It would have been nice to see a few more color combinations. There are currently 4 GTs in the Niceville/Destin area (3 owned by Mike Mosing), 5 counting yours, and I believe some in Mobile. We aught to get together sometime for a cruise and dinner.

Congrats. I'm a fellow Alabamian also. I'm in Foley one week a month for business. Hope to catch up with you sometime. It's an awesome car. Enjoy!!!!

Thank you all for the warm welcome.

Rocketman, thank you for sharing that link of favorite mods. That helps a lot. I am also thinking I need to replace the half shaft bolts. The OASIS report doesn't show it was done. I have the acufab kit on order.

Tomcat, great to hear you have a house so close. Let's try to connect when you are in town. Same goes for Nautoncall.

TO AWSUM, Also glad to learn you are not too far away. As for colors, I initially began looking for the white and blue combination. I think it would be great to all get together. A group of GTs will look amazing no matter what. The Pensacola or Mobile Cars and Coffee might be a fun option. I have never seen another GT at any of those events. It would be a huge hit if a group of them showed up.

I'll see when the next car event is in our area and then see if Mike Mosing is available. I've attended the "All Fords" Pensacola event, Pensacola Cars and Coffee and the Pensacola-Atmore Road Rally many times with my GT. Also many events in Crestview, Foley, Destin and Panama City like the "Cruising the Coast" event and charities. Unfortunately, I don't know any of the owners in Mobile. Here's a list of many of the local events. https://flacarshows.com/events/category/northwest-florida/
