especially considering the lack of luggage space!

Isn’t that what the wife/girlfriends’ lap is for?

I'm not sure how well that goes down! Hey, I'd be all up for trying though.

Why do Canadians think Americans understand the metric system. Just say 6,213.712 miles. Thank you Google.

I fully understand. You got close to your goal! The beauty of South Florida we have all year round of driving, the winter is actually better!.. I have a ways to go to catch Barry!

Some good news. May get the car back sooner than expected. Still have a chance to reach 10,000 kms or as per the US language , 6,213.712 miles!! :) :)

SOLO ROADTRIP DETROIT TO ATLANTA AND BACK HOME...
The trip to Road Atlanta is complete. (I tried to post an unique thread with details but it will not allow me to)

SO , HERE ARE SOME DATA POINTS THAT MAY BE OF INTEREST TO FORUM MEMBERS:
-total trip covered 1703 miles
-consumed 86.49 gallons (US) of 93 octane fuel
-avg miles per gallon 19.69 MPG (many folks ask at the gas fill ups "what kind of mileage do you get ?"
-total fuel cost = $300.21 (US$)
-my ODO is now at 4886 miles

IF ANYONE EVER QUESTIONS THE PERFORMANCE OF THIS 'LITTLE V-6" , take it on an expressway road trip !
thanks to everyone again, Dave, Chip, Ford Motor Co. for a great Petit Lemans event !

Ed - even with the Hurricane , I had not a drop of rain on the way to Atlanta so the cruise was fast. (until I hit the rush hour traffic in Atlanta :(:(

RAIN ... on the way home through Tennessee and Kentucky I had a lot of Fog, Rain and wind. Windshield Wipers work well at various speed settings.
The tires worked well, but I had to reduce speed from 80-85 mph down to approx. 50 -55 mph in the rain and fog. Otherwise I could feel a 'slippery' sensation
with the vehicle both laterally and fore-aft.
Kevin happened to call from Detroit at that time and suggested the WET "W" setting. So I put it into 'W" mode.
I did not like the setting just from a personal preference. The car felt like I had just added about 500 lbs mass and the accelerator pedal needed to be depressed 'deeper' for the same throttle response.
Maybe if I had started out in 'W' it would have felt better--- next rain I will try it.
So, I just went back to Normal "N" position , toned down my speed to compensate for the water and continued until the rain stopped around Georgetown Kentucky.

Wet mode is any car I have owned feels really odd and prodding. Maybe I should leave it on but I don't .

AJB sorry didn't see your post until after I came back. Was at the factory around 11:45 am. This time I didn't get into the plant as my time was short. If you want to pm with your issues I will tell you if any of mine were the same and advise. I will post later things they fixed as well as my first factory upgrade and install by the factory.

For those asking on another post my GT #H045 just turned 2092 miles yesterday at the end of my Trifecta weekend: Barbecue in Columbus, Texas, Auto Culture Breakfast in Houston and the Texas Mile in Victoria, Texas then home for a total of 522 miles this weekend. What a blast! Not sharing this one with the next owner!
