Not a lot of new photos to post , removed the side lexan windows to fix up the black trim and we actually started the car a couple of days ago
Primed the oil system and it fired right up .
Gerry discovered a slight fuel leak at the filter but other than that it was good.
I am getting the clear protective paint film installed on the nose , rockers and lower rear quarters below the side scoops.

Two installers spent most of today working on the protective film and should finish up tomorrow.
The list of stuff to do is getting smaller , will dyno the car soon , we need to align and corner weight it , install new belts , mould the seat , locate and install the headlight covers and install the windshield.
The owner of the Mad Croc car has nicely shipped a spare lexan windshield and it should be here any day now.
Spent my day fabricating some lexan window frames as some sanctioning bodies will not let me run with side windows.

IMG_4669.jpg

Made a complete new side window and then cut the center piece out and then painted the remaining frame in a trim black .
I will install it tomorrow and take some photos.
I have a video of it running but I have not yet uploaded it to YouTube .

Please take lots of hi-res pics and post them after it hits the ground -- but before you slap any stickers/roundels on it.

Your ride is extremely masculine, while at the same time sensuous and gorgeous. It's poster-worthy!

A good friend of mine is a talented photographer and he is going to take some poster worthy photos without any race decals on the car .

Getting Close. You might a 50mm band of clear film on top leading edge of windshield. Aero takes a lot of things there.

Wish I had done the trailing surface of the rear "wheel wells" on mine. Lots of road warrior "patina". Race tires will throw everything at any exposed surface. But then again it is a race car.:biggrin

Got the stainless screens back from the powdercoater , installed the ones on the side scoops , just clecoed the rear screens as we are bolting them instead of riveting.

Received the windshield from a another Matech owner in the eastern US (thanks Mike) and cleaned it up and installed it , finished attaching the taillight panel screens after getting them powdercoated , lowered the front end a bit and reinstalled the lexan windows .
The rear wing is out at the paint shop getting the clear coat redone and should be back early next week.
