I just wanted to offer my insight after searching through thousands of similar-shaped hoses. A piece of straight hose really won't work due to the bend going into the PS pump side.
This hose is from a BMW - The original BMW Part number is listed here

Here is a link that shows how this particular hose interchanges among hose companies along with their part numbers. You can also do a search of let's say a BMW 325i on Rockauto.

Here is an Amazon link with a good photo of the hose:

The Edelmann hose I bought wasn't quite thick as the original discontinued Ford 4G7Z-3A713-AA hose, so I used hose clamps instead of the original spring clamps. It is possible that one of the other brands of hoses are thicker or maybe the OE BMW version.
Anyway, this hose has all the correct bends and shapes and is 5/8 in diameter. The problem is that it is too short on the reservoir end by a few inches.
I used this hose barb:

Along with a short piece of 5/8 PS return hose to extend the hose with clamps.
Hopefully, this can tie people over until Rich's revised version reproduction hose becomes available.
